NOW: Trump campaign has filed a new lawsuit in PA broadly calling the state's election into question & asking
for an emergency order prohibiting the state from certifying the results.

It's a sort of omnibus complaint bringing together prior claims & alleging that an "unprecedented" number of mail in ballots were received w/o proper review.

Interestingly, parts of this new suit appear to contradict the president's prior claims that campaign observers were systematically kept from watching the vote count in PA.
Rather it claims that the GOP observers witnessed improprieties.

Here the suit claims that PA election officials sent out mail in ballots to people who did not request them, "thus resulting in voters who received two ballots."

The suit makes breathless statements--"The Perils of an Unmonitored Mail-In Voting System..."--but at least so far it offers no evidence of its claims.
For the moment, for example, there have been no declarations or affidavits filed in support of its arguments.

The new suit in PA comes as the GOP-led state legislature plans to call for a "legislative-led audit" of the state's election result and demand that electors not be seated until the audit is done.

A hearing in the new suit has not yet been scheduled.

Most boldly, Trump's new suit in PA seeks to take power away from state elections officials to certify the results of the vote.
That could open a pathway for the GOP-led state legislature to step in and award PA's electors to the candidate of its choosing.
