As a psychologist who has worked extensively with the cognitively impaired, Joe Biden did not exhibit any signs of major cognitive decline at the debate. His voice was hoarse and he stumbled over his words a few times. Neither of these indicate severe loss of cognitive function.
He looked and sounded terrible, yes. His team reported he had a cold and he was clearly sleep-deprived. But cognitive attenuation does more than that. It prevents you from being able to properly pronounce words, formulate sentences, or remember names, events or who/where you are.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, not only DID continue to exhibit severe cognitive deficits, he ALSO kept demonstrating his profound unfitness for office due to his malignant narcissism, sociopathy, and utter incapacity to tell the truth or answer a single question.

Psychological Tips to Live your Best Life from a psychologist who has spent most of his life in therapy. Think of this as the Cliff’s Notes to years of therapy. Note, however, that this is in no way intended to be a substitute for therapy (Thread).
1. Challenge Yourself

You can do this in big and small ways. I try to educate myself on a topic I know nothing about every week because it’s fun for me to learn new things without being in school and being told what to read/study. There’s no limit to how much knowledge you can amass/obtain. Rather than be daunted by that fact, be inspired by it. Knowledge truly is power. How powerful can you become?
2. Laugh every day (for yourself and no one else)

No matter how difficult of a day you had, try to find time to laugh. It’s therapeutic and releases endorphins that make you happier and less stressed. Watch a show or read a comic strip you find utterly hysterical. Or read some of your favorite funny tweets on here as well as the replies (I still say Twitter users are far and away the most hilarious people on earth, in spite of all things Musk).

—2 GA grand juries (46 people)
—1 NY grand jury (23 people)
—1 FL grand jury (23 people)

He was convicted/found liable by:
—1 jury in NY (12 people)
—3 civil juries in NY (36 people)
If you’re attacking our criminal justice system because your party cannot bring itself to cut ties with a convicted felon as its presumptive nominee for President, you’re losing. Badly.
The @GOP can call the trials “rigged,” they weren’t. One hundred and fifteen people across 4 states & the District of Columbia voted UNANIMOUSLY to INDICT him on ALL COUNTS after reviewing the evidence. And 48 voted UNANIMOUSLY to CONVICT/find him liable after reviewing evidence

Reminder that Donald Trump was sued by a 14-year-old plaintiff who alleged that she was raped by Trump and Epstein on numerous occasions and provided graphic details of the assaults. She only withdrew her case—two weeks before the 2016 election—due to incessant death threats.

Trump is celebrating the 80th anniversary of our troops prevailing on the beaches of Normandy by fascistically calling for the indictment of the J6 committee for “deleting and destroying evidence in an attempt to protect Pelosi from the truth that I did absolutely nothing wrong.”
Bannon was subpoenaed by the Jan 6th committee for documents and testimony about his role in the insurrection. In particular, the committee wanted to understand why Peter Navarro stated that Bannon “was our J6 hero” and “coordinated everything” in an appearance on national TV.
He could have showed up and answered those questions or even invoked the 5th amendment to avoid them. Instead, he refused to show up at all or hand over any documents, resulting in the committee referring him to the DOJ for contempt of Congress (felony), and he was convicted.

OMFG Trump just got continuously booed and heckled by Liberterarians for 30 minutes straight and I COULDN’T STOP WATCHING. I screen recorded it all. That was fucking amazing. What an unmitigated disaster that was for him.
First thing, Trump does not know what a libertarian is. He even glitched multiple times when attempting to *pronounce* the *word* libertarian. And everyone in the crowd seemed to know that he was utterly clueless.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Trump as visually uncomfortable as he was tonight. This crowd was not prevetted by him and he had few if any paid attendants in the audience. And bear in mind, Trump doesn’t know how to give any other stump speech than the one he always gives.
