@ErickDelRay’s comment also begs the question: What if what the military derides as “communist views” are actually mainstream democratic and nationalist views, that any Filipino could independently arrive at? Examples: land reform, national industrialization, ousting tyrants
So what if a Filipino harbors “communist views”? Which “communist views”? Are those views in fact communist?
Example: What’s exactly communist in land reform which makes landowners out of farmers?
@ErickDelRay opens an opportunity for national-democrats to explain their aims.
If military gossip vs Gabriela were true, that its existence is the handiwork of Reds, does it mean that the military are honoring communists as the country’s primary exponent of women’s emancipation? All it’s laudable efforts are done to promote Reds?
The educated must defend the right to think and to hold beliefs, and push back against the demonization of *ideas*.
We should be able to freely debate over ideas, including the idea that armed revolution is necessary or legitimate.
What are “communist views”? Are they communist talaga? Or are they actually democratic views in an otherwise undemocratic/anti-democratic time?

Calamities are reason why we form a government. We provide government with the organization, manpower, money, resources and training to address emergencies in any part of the country. We expect government to work for us, especially at times like this.
People outside Cagayan Valley are watching helplessly as we receive endless news of fellow Filipinos there desperately asking for help. Apparently, the LGUs alone cannot handle the sheer magnitude of the ecological humanitarian crisis. National government must step in.
The people of Cagayan Valley are Filipinos too. They pay taxes to the national government. They are entitled to quick and adequate response from national agencies. National agencies should address their emergency needs.
Major rivers in the province, such as the Cagayan River and the Abulog River, have overflowed due to the non-stop rain since November 11. Some shores have eroded.
Manufactured/invented or clickbait yung post. Bakit papansinin? Ano mapapala? Wala. Sisikat lang sila.
Yung mga palamuning opisyal na lang na napakarami at may obligasyon sa atin.
The absence and silence of national disaster, civil defense and rescue officials throughout the night was obvious.
If there’s anyone who didn’t follow PAGASA’s advice, they are these “public servants” who would rather gaslight this morning.
NDRRMC and OCD officials should disclose their whereabouts and activities in the hours leading to #UlyssesPH’s landfall until this outrageous presscon.
Nag-11.11 lang yata itong mga hayup na to eh. Tapos sisisihin ang mga taong pinabayaan nila.
Were NDRRMC and OCD closely monitoring #RescuePH reports on social media and mass media? What steps did they take?
What kind of help did these agencies provide LGU DRRMOs?
In 2018, many aspirants started running, offering different platforms. The primaries offered Americans the chance to choose the nominee, and to debate about the platforms.
People organized, knocked on doors, phoned, donated.
Q: How are we going to choose candidates?
Same is true in all races. Primaries determined the candidates. Organizing was involved at the grassroots.
Q. Are we ready to do the same? Are we gonna allow candidates to choose voters? Or voters should choose candidates? Are we uniting under one party or one coalition?
