People act as if “defund the police” didn’t exist, democratic candidates would just say the magic words and that would stop Republicans from hammering them in swing districts. It’s a myth. The gop will always find something. Democrats should offer something and not cower.
If it isn’t defund the police it’s socialized medicine or Nancy Pelosi or Hillary Clinton or con trails. It’s always something. Stop thinking there’s a magic spell to stop Republicans from being demagogues.
Maybe attack Republicans for their decades of support for “defund the hospital” and “defund the school” and “defund social security.” Start from there, democrats. Play offense.
