Also used as a symbol for time in cosmology. That level of physics is beyond my understanding, so I checked out the eta symbol and Cern. Sure enough, an article (presented as an April fools joke in 2018) about Humpty Dumpy referencing Alice in Wonderland. home.cern/news/news/cern…
