I touch on some possibilities here, but I'm not optimistic. Especially as people start to indicate they're turning on FOX for more aggressive/radical niche information sources that will drive them even deeper into the radicalized/disinformation hole. 1/

In 2016, half the country fell into despair when they watched a sociopathic narcissist win a potentially compromised presidential election.

For many, Trump triggered previous traumatic experiences with similarly disordered people and relationships. 1/
The Right rolled their eyes....

.....reveled in the collective anxiety....

.....they wore, "F*ck your feelings", t-shirts....

.....and made mocking/antagonizing statements about the rest of the country being "snowflakes"....

.....about liberal tears tasting delicious..... 2/

Unfortunately, I don't think Trumpism is going anywhere soon. There's are a lot of radical Right Wing Media personalities who won't be able to pivot off of Trump b/c they're too personally invested in the alternate realities they helped create. It's now reached a point where...1/

Let's be clear. The patronizing stroking that we're now seeing from Right Wing Media Echo Chamber sycophants is not an appeal to preserve Trump's "legacy"...

Addiction is related to the neurotransmitter "dopamine".

Fear is related to loss.

Trump has exploited the fear/loss dynamic with "Make America Great Again", which exploits fear of cultural/white nationalistic "loss".
