@imaguid @SwiftOnSecurity So here's my story about the "Killdozer" movie

It came out 5 years before I learned to drive but it would pop back into Chicago's "grindhouse" movie theaters every so often

It did so in 1979 when @RickTrnka & I were in junior year

We're sitting at lunch when

@imaguid @SwiftOnSecurity @RickTrnka both of us realize we've got substitute teachers for the last two classes that Friday

Rick & I had a rule: we'd only ditch on a Friday for a *really* bad movie, because our detentions had to be "worth it"

"Wow, four subs between us! It's a sign from heaven! We gotta ditch!"

I think we paid $1.50 each to see it

Back then we had no truant officers because Bolingbrook was on its final year of "45-15 track" where students get 45 days on, 15 days off of a full yearly schedule

No one cared thay we walked into a bad movie

"Rosenberger! (Or Trnka!)"

"Yes?"

"Where were you Friday?"

"...?"

"You're marked absent"

"Wat?"

"You're marked absent"

"<looking around> hey, was i drooling asleep when attendance was called?"

@imaguid @SwiftOnSecurity @RickTrnka In all four cases the regular teacher told me & Rick "I know it was a Friday but you gotta stop falling asleep at your desk"

...and that's how Rick & I weaseled out of high school detentions after ditching classes to watch "Killdozer"!
