Well, I for one, am sad that Cummings is going. He’s the living link to Vote Leave corruption. The reminder that the same govt that is bringing you Brexit, mass death & billion pound contracts to cronies came to power by deliberately subverting our electoral laws. What a legacy
A reminder of how much attention, BBC’s political team gave Cummings when Vote Leave was accused of electoral fraud (allegations later found & admitted). His claims of innocence & accusations against others were repeated. There was no other mention
And this was how his contempt of parliament was covered
This was well worth a read, I agree. But not for that reason. Nobody outside UK politics Twitter knows anything at all about Vote Leave fraud. BBC’s lack of appetite for story is central to that. Cummings’s traditional role as source is arguably some part of why. See also ITV

Okay, hands up who has ever left their job on the actual day they resigned/got the push with a big brown box? It literally doesn’t happen apart from in bottom-of-the-algorithm Netflix movies. I’m sorry but I suspect this is really far nearer the mark
Gulp. #Election2020 We’re doing this later. A Biden victory?? Or...?!? We’re doing a breakdown of what the night holds. Plus thoughts & analysis from the brilliant @baddiel & @sarahkendzior & @binajv. And the view from inside the amazing @ProjectLincoln war room with @reedgalen
If you're not been following @ProjectLincoln, they're the Republican anti-Trumpers who've been running a massive war room out of Utah campaigning for Biden. This is their latest...
If you follow British political Twitter, you probably know all about the ongoing scandal of the PPE contracts. If you’re not on Twitter, you probably have no idea. A relief to see it get some mainstream coverage today... dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8…
This isn’t just about money (our money). It’s about lives. The govt’s incompetence & corruption is going to kill more healthcare workers. That’s just a fact. As we head into 2nd wave, @meenalsworld & @ThePalpitations still trying to get answers from 1st
NEW: 'Unprecedented' legal case sees cross-party MPs & peers take legal action against a sitting govt for failing to safeguard national security. Believed to be first time ever. Former National Security Advisor backing it. This is a big deal. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…
Here's @lukeharding1968's write-up in @guardian. Lord Ricketts, former chair of Joint Intelligence Committee & National Security Advisor has submitted witness statement in support. It's genuinely cross-party effort. Because: national security NOT politics theguardian.com/politics/2020/…
LIVE now: We’re releasing shocking new research from @Avaaz on spread of Hunter/Biden misinfo in swing states on Facebook. Plus an amazing power panel on voter suppression with @ruha9@safiyanoble & @digitalsista
Incredible stats about how Facebook’s algorithm is amplifying Hunter/Biden story to more than 50 million people. ‘We were really shaken by these results,’ says @fadiquran from Avaaz. ‘We surveyed voters in Pennsylvania & found 86% of them had seen this misinfo & 35% believed it’
Powerful words from @ruha9 on voter suppression. ‘Black people are the prime targets of voter suppression.. Facebook is not simply ignoring this. It’s profiting from it. This is racial capitalism’
Hoping Brexiteers who failed to back calls for an inquiry into Russian interference see this. Next time, it might be other side that benefits. Foreign interference not about politics it’s national security. And zero done has been done to protect us
