- Democrats gained in Senate by 1% or 3% (depending on runoffs)
- Republicans gained in House by 2-3%
Not a great election cycle for the Democrats, but a pretty bad one for the Republicans.
Also keep in mind Trump shut down the post office in key states just to keep Democrats from voting. We'll never know for sure, but without that cheating, it's feasible we could have won the presidency by 10 million votes, won a Senate majority, and not lost those House seats.
In other words, I don't see how the Democrats did much "wrong" in this election. It was thoroughly and blatantly rigged against us, and we won anyway. That said, there are some things we can do more smartly next time.

When Trump starts pardoning everyone – and he will – I hope y’all won’t start nervously fretting about how he’s somehow magically winning. It’ll be the end of him. His pardon spree WILL be his concession speech. And it won’t keep him or his family out of prison on state charges.
The media has spent the past four years breathlessly hyping the notion that Trump was going to pardon everyone at any minute, so you can be excused if you're not aware that Trump hasn't ever pardoned a single one of his co-conspirators. It never did happen. But now it will.
Trump's pardon spree will be the absolute end of his fading political viability. Even some of the dummies who just voted for him will decide they've seen enough. He knows it too. It'll be a reminder that he's not actually going to run in 2024, no matter what he claims.

Why we lose when we should win: y’all are talking about throwing Joe Manchin out of the party, when doing so would cost us our shot at the Senate majority. Manchin sucks, but he votes with us most of the time. We need him. Period. Do you want to win, or do you just want to whine?
Again, Manchin is lame. But he’s literally never once cast a *deciding* vote against the Democrats. He makes a show of voting with the republicans when he’s not going to be the deciding vote anyway. It’s for show, since he’s from a red state. Learn how politics works, please.
And if Manchin ever does lose his seat, West Virginia will replace him with a far right Republican who votes against us 100% of the time. Some of you say you’d rather have that than a mediocre Democrat. But that’s fucking deranged. Some of you dummies are addicted to losing.
