The track's music is simple, beautiful and has a sad tone to it. Due it being calm and silently melancholic, a lot of emphasis can be put on Namjoon's amazing rapping that is filled with emotions and poetry. It starts off sad, dull and hopeless and then after turns optimistic.
This song talks about his feelings his school days till the day he created this mixtape, the song starts off with Joon saying that he didn't have any dreams before, and every day continued with the same. He learnt nothing related to his interests, which further confused him.
In the lines below, "stars" represents answers/path which Namjoon desperately asks for. These lines indicates that he wants the answers and the path he's wishing to go on to be revealed and shown to him until his life ends.
His parents try to prevent him from doing things he likes to do and what makes him HIM.The word "day" in the line represents his life in this case. Instead, he is used by them to do what they want as he's their PROGENY and he needs to accomplish the tasks up to their expectations
He says that he is like a "Hanwoo" animal and is expected to do everything his parents want him to do in school, get into a uni, get a good job and so on. His parents created a fixed path for him in which he has to perform perfectly and throw away whatever HE wants to do in life.
All be heard from people around him was "I just wanted to succeed", this implies that the people around him didn't do anything they dreamt of doing. They only did what their parents wanted them to do with the goal of SUCCEEDING, nothing with hard work, dedication or any interest+
+in it. The word "Tediously" indicates how Joon kept listened to these words from the people around him repeatedly, he was already ingrained with the expectations his parents had from him and he couldn't do anything about it.
Happiness felt like a "mirage" to him. As he observed from how the people around him caught it, he believed that he would be able to find it as well. However, he wasn't happy doing what his parents wanted him to do, he wasn't sure about all this work in school for the goal of+
+something he didn't want. "The illusion of happiness" was an escapism for him but he couldn't escape.
Without his mom knowing, he used to put blank papers for him to write music on between the pages of his school books. He knew, music and rap was WHO HE WAS, it was his VOICE, and that music was his sanctuary, the place where he truly belonged.
3rd line states that he felt relaxed while writing music/rap while he felt dull receiving his report card as that was like a reminder that he can't do what he wants. The 4th line indicates that even being the best student with a high score, he felt burdened, anxious and worried.
“Han” is a Korean concept like a persistent feeling of sadness and melancholia. 2nd and 3rd line state that rather than a life filled with "Han", he decided to live his life the way he wants to and remove it of any melancholy so that his heart can ease and relax.
The 1st line indicates that the people around him (specifically his parents probably) judged him for his decision when he was in a "weakened" state. He's referring to himself as "weakened" because he's starting anew and is finally starting his true life so he seems to be in a+
+"weakened" or "disadvantageous" state to others. His dreams gave him power and emphasis to his voice for everything.
In these lines, he says that no matter what appearance he has, with his MUSIC AND RAP, he'll SUCCEED (The people who followed the path set by others tried to succeed with something they didn't like while he says that if he does the things he wants to do,he''ll definitely succeed)
Then he says in the next lines that even if everyone hates on him while he's doing what he wants, it's still good because those people would see him after a few years being a successful person who's making a mixtape silently in the corner of the room(all of this happening due to+

In these 3 lines, he says that he won't try to make excuses for the things that have happened so that those problems never happen again as he believes they should be a reminder for him to not do those things again.
In the 1st line, he says that he finally has what he wanted the most: his life/dreams. It continues in the 2nd line where it states that the "pedal", which represents his life/dreams, was "stepped on" by him (he was forced to ignore it and step all over it for the sake of his+

here his father wasnt very fond of rapping since namjoon was a very brilliant guy and wanted him to become something bigger than rapper. they didnt prevent him but more werent fond of it.
