Allowing Q to propagate Trump’s delusional twisted reality is dangerous.

People actually believe it to be truth. That’s a large component of 70 million people who believe Biden “stole” an election.

The same applies in Canada. Allowing unfettered propagation of the “global R E S E T” disinformation will lead to violence, if PM Trudeau decides to act and declare a national emergency.

All while Kenney continues to stoke the fire of provincial purview and “liberty.”

Enough is enough! The far right is attempting to throw Canada into chaos.

Attacking healthcare infrastructure and capacity by allowing COVid to spread unchecked IS a planned and calculated strategy to consolidate power, it’s not incompetence.

If Trudeau holds back, he’s abandoning the public health of Canadians. If Trudeau declares an emergency, he’s grabbing power and confirming for Q adherents that he is assuming the role of global dictator.

There is no option without negative consequences.

This is how modern despots and demagogues consolidate power now. Convince enough of the public to believe they are being oppressed. Then the angry mob takes matters into their own hands. As the despot quietly feeds them more and more disinformation.

That’s what is happening right now in Canada and US.

Kenney is holding the population of Alberta hostage. Refusing to implement any protection of the public’s health. Using ideology as justification.

He’s set up PM Trudeau who either holds back or takes control.

Either situation has negative consequences for LPC politically.

That is a method of consolidating power.

Deposing an elected leader through manipulation of public sentiment. This is demagoguery. And it’s been happening since LPC won the election in 2015.

CPC is desperate to regain federal control. Years of fake scandals & smears.

When an autocrat tells you who they are and what they plan on doing, believe them. Appeals to their sense of guilt or shame are futile. Trying to normalize what Kenney is doing is dangerous. It’s not NORMAL! It’s cruel and WILL CONTINUE to be deadly.

Institutions will not save us. Dr. Hinshaw has been thrown under the bus. Matt Wolf, Cory Morgan & others are undermining science & medicine. Premiers are blocking the federal Emergencies Act.

It’s up to the public to demand COVid action. We save ourselves or succumb.

The public must STOP using confirmation bias. Put your beliefs & values on a shelf for later and take off the rose coloured glasses. View reality in all its ugliness. Yes it will scare the 💩 out of you, but when you pull your panties back up, you’ll know what we are up against.

There is nothing we can do or say that will change the far right. Nothing we can do or say to change their followers. But we are still the majority. We can demand federal assistance with COVid. That is our right & our duty if we want to preserve healthcare infrastructure & lives.

We can learn from the past. This is not the first global pandemic. To cope with the current pandemic, we can learn what has worked, what hasn’t and why.

Pay particular attention to 19th century methods.

Mid 19th century to early 20th century (before the Great Depression) was the Gilded Age.

The Gilded Age was defined by avarice, robber barons, monopolies, industrialism, extreme wealth and profound poverty. And far right classic liberalism.

The Gilded Age is the time frame paleolibertarianism refers to as the greatest period of freedom and liberty (for the rich & powerful). It is also the current political and economic beliefs & values held & promoted by UCP, CPC and GOP Republicans. Also by Stephen Harper & IDU.

That is what Kenney has planned. He will not cave to pressure from the public. He is 100% committed to freedom and liberty. So merchants can continue to profit during the pandemic. Regardless of the cost to human life and the healthcare system.

Albertans need to send a message to Kenney and the federal government that we demand the public’s health be protected from COVid so we can stop putting people at risk, especially our children.

Because Kenney WILL NOT.

We need to demand that Alberta be declared to be in a state of Emergency. The premier & provincial government have abandoned their duty to protect public health in favour of protecting economic interests. We demand now, because in 2 weeks it will be too late.

Hospitals are already over capacity. Schools are still open, so are restaurants and bars. The actions Kenney imposed will do nothing to curb the spread of disease. In 2 weeks, healthcare will be failing. There are only so many healthcare workers to go around.

People are being asked to perform like robots. The emotional & physical toll on medical personnel has not been factored into decision making. Remember Italy’s physicians? khn.org/morning-breako…

Over 400 of Alberta’s physicians have begged for a lockdown.

Kenney’s response was to close bars an hour early, cancel hockey for kids and send Cory Morgan to undermine and discredit the lead physician who requested a lockdown. Using a partisan attack on Social Media.

Does that sound like a man who is going to protect public health? Or does it sound like a callous malignant narcissist who has weaponized a pandemic & is protecting his donors’ profits and business viability at the expense of Albertan’s lives?

If you care about this province, if you care about the lives of essential workers, school children, seniors, the health compromised, the disabled, the economic recovery and yourself, you’ll let Kenney & Trudeau know we need a lockdown. NOW!
