In this case, knee was not broken, so death must have occurred over 3+ days. However, it was declared in 3 hours which means he could have been alive at the time body was brought down.

These herbs are not for embalming the dead body, but healing wounds and swelling.

Account of blood trails (perpendicular) showing life in the body to have had a blood flow like that.
