President Rodrigo Duterte, who promised to end corruption in the country as early as 2016, said he will dedicate his last years in office to fighting corruption because it keeps getting stronger.
In February this year, Duterte admitted that he cannot stop corruption.
CONTEXT: In his campaign period and during his first year in office, Duterte claimed he will get rid of “corruption, criminality, and drugs” in three to six months, and told Filipinos to kill him if he doesn’t.
