Make no mistake, what the GOP is trying to do right now is apartheid. They are trying to literally make it so the votes of black people straight up do not count.
In this particular Michigan situation, the state board should certify the results by December 13th. So says the Michigan Sec of State. So on the binary question of "is this the coup" we're still at a "no."
But, jesus, what the GOP is willing to do right now is shocking.
The Democrats simply *must* win the runoffs in Georgia and put at stop to these attempts to disenfranchise black people, or, failing that they must have the most aggressive executive order plan in history to stop Republicans from doing this.
Otherwise, this will be the last election Democrats are *allowed* to win and the GOP will simply throw away Black votes if they influence the outcome of elections.

He gave a speech at @FedSoc and, while I’m still waiting on the full translation from the original German, it seems pretty bad.
He doesn’t like gay people a lot. Or science. Or the First Amendment unless you’re using it to bash gay people.
It’s bad. He’s very bad.
Alito is why some people call the Iraq War Bush’s *second* biggest mistake.
Remember the subtext of what's going on with the ACA. Congress zeroed out the mandate *to MAKE the ACA unconstitutional.* But there's a really strong court preference for assuming Congress DOESN'T make it's own laws constitutional on purpose.
So the defenders are saying "see, of course the rest of the ACA is constitutional b/c Congress OBVIOUSLY wouldn't make its own laws unconstitutional." While attackers are saying "But, but, this is our trick. Our trick is allowed to work now."
Thomas and Alito are like "GOOD TRICK, LET'S KILL IT NOW." Kav (and *maybe* ACB) are like "but, why would this trick actually work?" Breyer and Sotomayor are like: "FUCK YOU, GHOULS, WE'RE NOT DUMB." Roberts and Kagan are like "WHY is this case even here? JUST GO AWAY."
Meh, I'll call this good news from Alito. Basically this SCOTUS case was
GOP: We want to get ballots received after ED separated
Alito: Isn't that what's happening?
GOP: Yes. But can you say it again?
Alito: Okay. It is said again.
GOP: What about...
Alito: Shut up.
Like this would be a problem is counties weren't already separated these disputed ballots (they are) or if there were enough disputed ballots to change the result in PA (we don't know but probably not), that Trump was going to win in large numbers (he won't).
Dude, Pennsylvania, ANSWER @rehemaellis's question about how many "segregated" ballots they have. She's asking because THAT'S THE ENTIRE BASIS OF TRUMP'S STUPID COURT CASE.
CHRIST. LISTEN TO BLACK WOMEN!!!
GOD, that was frustrating. Most likely we're talking about less then a FRACTION of what would be necessary to overturn the results in PA.
ANSWERING THIS ONE QUESTION ALLOWS EVERY REPORTER TO KNOCK DOWN TRUMP'S CONSTITUTIONAL THEORY. And they wouldn't and weren't prepared to.
Thank you for trying @rehemaellis. I see you. You STAY on point.
Since people want to do the "faithless electors" thing again, let's recap:
* Court says states CAN ENFORCE electors to vote like the voters tell them.
* States who want to let electors vote their conscience needed to make that call BEFORE the election.
* None did.
Yes. Obviously, the Supreme Court can always say "You know what tho, we really want Trump to be President so actually anything you do to make that happen is cool by us."
That's always possible. But, I'm just saying that the GOP is not *supposed* to be able to do this.
The Courts can't help Trump now. His arguments are too weak, his deficit, too great. I don't believe there are 5 SCOTUS justices willing to burn it down to help him. @JoeBiden is in a strong position to fend off legal challenges.

I'm telling you these lawsuits are trash @neal_katyal is telling you these lawsuits are trash @PeteWilliamsNBC is telling you these lawsuits are trash. The 3 of us probably don't agree on whether the Earth has standing to sue Exxon (I say yes), but THESE TRUMP LAWSUITS ARE TRASH
