Twitter launched a new feature: Fleets.

What are they and how to take advantage?

// A THREAD // Image
What are they?

Fleets are tweets that disappear after 24 hours.

Basically, they're just a "copy" of Instagram/Snapchat stories. Image
Why?

According to the designer's it should decrease the pressure on users who find the tweeting too public, permanent, and with too much pressure to like/retweets hunting. Image
What's interesting about it?

- You can tag there a people who blocked you (that should be fixed soon).
- The people you tag there get a notification
- It can include text, photos, or videos.
- Users can send direct messages from the fleet post Image

How it's supposed to work:

What's next?

Twitter is also working on Spaces which is an audio feature that would allow people to take part in public conversations. Image
Thanks for reading!

PS. I still don't have the feature what about you?

👇 Also, let me know what you think about Fleets. Image

How to Guerilla Test Your Website

// A THREAD // Image
If you don't test, you guess.

Simple.

And you don't want to guess when comes to important things and more importantly when you don't have to guess.

But maybe you don't have

- Money
- Experience
- Don't know how to do it

Np, I will show you. Image
"Testing" may sound really scientific, complicated, and expensive.

The opposite is true.

Ask yourself: What’s the purpose of the test?

The purpose of the test of your website is to see how REAL PEOPLE interact with your website
- whether it works as expected.

That’s it. Image

Hollywood Model: What Is It And How to Take Advantage

// A THREAD // Image
It refers to the way how professionals in Hollywood operate.

Basically, they're a bunch of independent professionals, and when the project occurs they invite each other to collaborate on it.

Then they work like crazy for a couple of months.

Then get $ and their freedom back. Image
Why should you care about how the dudes in Hollywood work?

Because I believe it's a future of work.

A bunch of (more or less) independent professionals who collaborate together on projects. Image

5 Fiction Books That Changed The Way I See The World

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”

The Death of Ivan Ilyich

by Leo Tolstoy

Why: You will die. You will die soon. And people will live forward...

And don't care much about the fact you lived.

Then they will die as well...

The lecture there? Live the life YOU want.

PS. Change it while you still can... Image
To Kill a Mockingbird

by Harper Lee

Why: Because as an adult, the other adults may be your inspiration.

But to see your silly side the kid is usually needed.

Even a one in a book. Image

Why Should One Start Freelancing at a First Place?

// A THREAD // Image
1. The future is bright.

For companies, it's enormously convenient to hire a person for the job and don't have to employ him full-time.

The future of work is in the cloud-based gig-economy (imo).

And as a freelancer, you will be well-positioned for both the future and now. Image
2. Network as a side product.

Freelancers work in teams.

The famous "Hollywood model" refers to the fact that Hollywood consists of many independent professionals who know and work with each other.

As a freelancer, you work in a similar way.

Team up with the right people. Image

How to Price Your Services in a Way You Don't Get Busto

// A THREAD //
Whether you're a full-time freelancer or you just want freelance on the side you have to know your price so you don't get busto.

We will discuss the three most common ways how to price your services:

- Hourly rate
- Project rate
- Service as a product

But basics first.
Don't think about the price as a one-night-stand.

Rather build a very close relationship with it.

It:

- helps you to increase/decrease demand
- gives hints about how good/bad your service is
- positions yourself on the market

Know how to use this tool.
