Whoa. Shawn Parcells assisted in an autopsy commissioned by Michael Brown’s family, and was the subject of this CNN report, which reported that he once tried to hand a human brain in a bucket to a lawyer during a deposition: edition.cnn.com/2014/11/26/hea…
“...Parcells falsely led clients to believe they would receive an autopsy report prepared by a pathologist. In fact, in most of the cases, no pathologist was involved in the work on the autopsies.”
Earlier this year, he was allegedly trying to sell coronavirus tests "to people desperate to know whether their loved ones died of covid-19,” per this WaPo piece: washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/05…

Republicans won two statewide races in Pennsylvania.

Auditor General-elect Tim DeFoor, a Republican, is the first Black man elected as a commonwealth executive in 233 years.

“So two Republican officeholders are going to watch their ballots thrown out?”

huffpost.com/entry/rudy-giu…
"DeFoor, who is Black, will be sworn in in January as the state's first elected 'row officer’ of color.”

So in addition to trying to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of voters who are disproportionately people of color, the Trump campaign is calling into question the election of the first Black man to hold executive office in Pa. And he's a Republican! huffpost.com/entry/rudy-giu… Image

I say this with sincerity: I would legitimately be extremely interested in a @JRubinBlogger post revisiting her coverage of the New Black Panther Party kerfuffle, given the views she now expresses.
If @JRubinBlogger has written about it, I’ve missed it. But as someone who read her coverage of the New Black Panther Party case extremely closely, I’m totally fascinated by this evolution and her talk about the GOP’s exploitation of white grievance politics.
