Giuliani is now acting out a scenario of a voter learning they voted already at this press conference.
Very elaborate, with a character named Rudy Giuliani as the voter.
"Did you all watch 'My Cousin Vinny?' It's one of my favorite movies..." I hope @Danjanison is watching this
Then acting out one of the courtroom scenes from the movie. For folks who wonder if Giuliani was like this as mayor, he did read the lyrics to "Captain Jack" at a presser to criticize Clinton for playing it at her senate kickoff.
"The few people who have tried to intervene and tell him that it is time to let Mr. Biden begin a transition have been shut down by Mr. Trump." nytimes.com/2020/11/19/us/…
Of note, the Oval Office is normally a place aides would clamor to spend time in. These days, almost everyone is avoiding going in, either to avoid getting yelled at or to avoid getting asked their opinion nytimes.com/2020/11/19/us/…
NEW: Multiple people briefed on the request say Giuliani sought $20k a day for Trump legal work; Giuliani denies it and calls people who said it a "liar." @nytmike and me nytimes.com/2020/11/17/us/…
The amount was rejected, and it's unclear how much Giuliani will be paid, according to multiple people briefed on the discussions. But some close to the president fear the former mayor sees the opportunity to get paid well by encouraging ongoing suits nytimes.com/2020/11/17/us/…
Giuliani insists it's not so, points out he worked pro bono for Trump during Mueller. Says Trump volunteered to him that they'll figure out what he's paid once this is over nytimes.com/2020/11/17/us/…
NEW - Trump has put Rudy Giuliani in charge of his campaign lawsuits related to the outcome of the election, as well as all public communications related to them nytimes.com/live/2020/11/1…
Trump made the move in reaction to his team dropping a suit they were certain to lose in Maricopa Cty, which closed the door on changing the AZ results nytimes.com/live/2020/11/1…
The president is conflating a media strategy with a legal one, according to a half-dozen advisers who are worried about Giuliani’s involvement nytimes.com/live/2020/11/1…
NEW - Amid his team's efforts to counter wide vote leads by Biden in an already-called race, Trump is planning to form a leadership PAC in bid to keep some control in GOP nytimes.com/2020/11/09/us/…
As @jonathanvswan reporter, the president has told people since the race was called that if it gets certified for Biden, he will likely announce he’s serious about 2024, potentially freezing the field nytimes.com/2020/11/09/us/…
A leadership PAC couldn’t be used for a Trump campaign. But it could let him pay for travel, consultants, pollsters etc nytimes.com/2020/11/09/us/…
Per two sources, the campaign has a "war room" set up in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Trump is also going to be briefed in the residence and the Oval Office throughout the day by officials.
The campaign is said to be funding the operation.
Still, the building is taxpayer space and it's not clear how this works out under the Hatch Act.
"I called John. John McLaughlin. He's like the dean," Trump says of one of his pollsters.
The crowd has been mostly silent as the president has gone on an extended riff about how unfair the media polling is to him. Then he starts listing Fox News hosts and the crowd gets animated.
"I hope I haven't bored you...I thought it was interesting," Trump says of the polls rant. "To me it was interesting." Now talking about the whether in the upper MW.
