#IfICouldTestify@SenEdMcBroom@RepMattHall I'd let the MI govt know that, while working as a poll challenger in Detroit, I watched voters scramble to find their correct poll locations after many closed at the last minute #VoterSuppression
At the Absentee Counting Board at TCF, I saw poll workers tirelessly focus on counting mail-in ballots, while @MIGOP challengers hovered over them and did their best to impede the process. If there are counting errors, it is due to this never ending distraction.
I watched @MIGOP challengers harass poll workers, loudly declaring that they were all going to be sued. Nevertheless, poll workers kept their heads down and tried to stay focused. I didn't observe any fraud whatsoever.
Poll challengers instructed their team members to "challenge every military ballot because they come in on different paper" and @MIGOP challengers questioned every ballot they could - simply because they didn't understand the process of counting absentee ballots.
Rather than trusting that the primarily Black female poll workers were adequately trained and doing their jobs to the best of their ability, these "poll challengers" assumed that they knew more than the professionals.
Every claim of fraud has been exposed as a poll challenger simply not understanding the process. The poll workers were exceedingly patient in trying to explain their process, but challengers were not interested in learning, only in obstructing.
I'm not being allowed to testify because our state legislature isn't truly interested in hearing from the public. In the face of unprecedented voter turnout during a pandemic, they are attempting to silence what #VotersDecided. It's undemocratic and embarrassing.
