Cases are growing rapidly in all four US regions. Only 3 states are reporting fewer than 200 daily cases per million people. If states follow the Midwest track, many are at risk of tripling in the coming weeks of the pandemic.
The Dakotas have seen rising cases since Aug 20. In other Midwestern states, cases have only really taken off in the prior few weeks.
Using new data from @HHSGov, we can see that daily confirmed hospital admissions for COVID-19 have risen dramatically over the past few weeks, especially in the Midwest and South. healthdata.gov/dataset/covid-…
Residents in long-term care facilities account for 2x as many cases as staff. This week we saw the largest increase in cases -29k - in the last 6 months.
