I don't see how ticket splitting is in any way suspicious. People still do it. Ticket splitting exists.
Both the MAGA and resistance crowd have something in common: they can't comprehend ticket splitting. It's not fraudulent.
Some resisters were claiming Kentucky's results were fraudulent because McConnell won counties where there are more registered Democrats than Republicans.

In 1988, CBS wrongly called Illinois for Dukakis. Bush ultimately won the state by 2%. (h/t @MikeCarolla ) Image
They called the race for Bush just 10 minutes later.
One of the earliest election night calls. Not even two hours after the first polls closed was Bush declared the winner.

Joe Biden did half a point better than Obama in Oklahoma but the differences in their coalitions is stark. Eastern Oklahoma swung significantly towards Trump while OKC metro and Tulsa swung to Biden. The swing towards Trump in western OK was less pronounced.
Texas County has a growing Hispanic population. Unlike what we saw elsewhere in the country, Biden did better than Obama there.

Your occasional reminder that Illinois state law does not require congressional districts to be contiguous.
There is nothing stopping Democrats from adding in random parts of Chicago.
I see you've got a nice downstate district there. Would be a shame if added parts of Chicago to it.

The fact that someone like Burgess Owens got a major party nomination and could very well get elected to Congress is a serious indictment of voters in this country.
