A non-majority @ACTLabor @GreensACT Gov have just implemented an EV policy which provides free rego & an interest free loan of $15k to go towards the purchase of an EV.

Meanwhile @timpallas from @VictorianLabor want's to put A TAX on EVs

@Sam_Hibbins
greens.org.au/vic/news/green…
And it's completely crap. It's 6 times slower than the GLOBAL AVERAGE:

In who's interest is this shameful attempt to slow down the transition to EVs?

Delaying our transition to cleaner air and a SAFE CLIMATE!

At 1.11 pm on 18.11.20 Murdoch's @couriermail editor @DamTom79 sent a tweet suggesting that I was a professional tweeter (paid by someone) and that I had

"deployed a bot swarm to defend @MrKRudd"

Both of these claims are false and have damaged my reputation & character.

I've recently called many Australian politicians "climate deniers"

This sparked Mark Spencer from @climacticshow to launch pilot podcast "Degrees of Difference"

Community climate organiser Asher Coleman & I had a great discussion about how we approach climate activism in Aus.
We discuss growing up in regional Australia as well as the political & media failures to tell the truth about the climate crisis.

We also discuss what the definition of "climate denier" really is.

Thread of screenshots tracking @ScottMorrisonMP's "comment to like" ratio.

Morrisons posts never get "ratioed" because "likes" are artificially boosted (bots) as comments grow.

Number of comments never exceeds likes.

This thread shows screenshots of this.

You'll notice with the PM's posts that he never gets proper ratioed because as the comments start to soar the bots kick in and keep the "comment to like" ratio 1 or less.

1.7k comments is a huge number of comments btw.
1.8k : 1.8K
1.9K : 1.9K

Did anyone else watch @qanda tonight & think wow... this is some serious bullshit.

Thread.
On an episode about gas and climate:

1⃣ #qanda failed to mention the $400k in donations that the gas industry has paid to the Liberal party over the last 2 years.
2⃣ #qanda failed to mention anything about the fact that the NCCC board has multiple representatives of the gas industry on it.
3⃣ #qanda failed to mention that there are a large number of serving & former elected officials in the Australian Parliament who have worked for, who's staff have worked for, or whose family members are are invested in the fossil fuel industry.

What if the Australian Government took over the shares of every company on the Australian stock market?

Australians would become shareholders in every company.

These companies would have to act in the public's interest & the private sector would be democratised.

Thoughts?
Any other ideas or thoughts on how we get our major companies acting in our interests and the interests of the greater good?
Just over $2 trillion & the Australian Public could own the ASX.

Keeping in mind that forecasts of almost 1 trillion in "debt", surely we have the capacity for another $2 trillion?

Is this possible @StevenHailAus?

What's the impact on inflation if we spent $2T? Image
