Actually, earlier in the day, one officer approached the group of boogaloo activists, but he actually wasn't there for them.
The officer asked that a cameraperson filming them step down from the ledge he was getting an elevated shot from, because that was dangerous.

On their final lap, the armed boogaloo activists smacked and gave the middle finger to the "no firearms beyond this point" sign as they walked past.

In a final stunt for the day, @realmikedunn handed his rifle off to another participant and climbed up the barrier to the Capitol itself, which was closed off.
He hung a "big igloo" (boogaloo) flag and then told his guys to get to their cars and leave the city immediately.
