Thread: Overnight, Bellevue Police and nearly a dozen surrounding agencies responded to reports of a vehicular bomb and active shooter at the Sonic near 15th and Cornhusker. Four employees were shot, two fatally. Below are some details of the incident... 
The call initially went out as a bomb in a moving truck at the Sonic at 21:24. A caller reported seeing a U-Haul parked in the lot of Sonic with pipes and wires sticking out of it. A minute later at 21:25, 911 received calls from inside advising there was an active shooter...
At 9:26 the first officer arrived on scene. Shortly after, a male matching the suspect description was taken into custody on scene without incident. Dispatch had already toned out BFD for a structure fire/active shooter as the U-Haul had ignited and was fully involved.
As more information came in, it was learned there were multiple gunshot victims inside Sonic, and fire/rescue assets were added from Omaha (2 medics + S1) Papillion (M1) and Bellevue (M1 M41 TR21 S2) in addition to the Sarpy Tactical Medic Team and South Metro SWAT.
While BFD E31 was extinguishing the fire under cover of SWAT, they discovered a bullet proof vest and secured the scene for evidence. Near the same time, an officer found a duffel bag with pistol magazines behind Starbucks. 2 weapons were located inside per initial traffic.
Officers treating victims inside advised they had two witnesses in the store that were uninjured. They were evaluated by medics and secured. They were able to confirm the male in custody was the shooter and confirmed he was wearing a black vest and helmet...
2 patients were transported in critical condition. 1 patient was code 99 on scene and declared code 4. Another victim was extracted from the building and declared code 4. Trauma Doctors from Nebraska Med were on scene assisting EMS crews.
On 11/22/20 at 4:30am, Bellevue PD booked Roberto Silva (23) into the LEC on charges of Murder/Arson.
Last Wednesday 11/18/20, Silva was arrested for ID Theft after using someone's Sonic App to purchase $57 worth of food at the Sonic on Cornhusker, where this incident occurred.
