3/ In addition to be ruthlessly enforced, the window is narrow because the main funders of that ecosystem - Taiwan, Japan, Big Tech, defense cos, Pentagon - are all on the same page, especially re tech (except Wall St but their influence is much weaker with near-constant QE)
4/...while China is completely outside the 'marketplace of blyat' because their efforts to influence US power centers are vilified on both political and racial grounds.

5/ Now China *is* critical to US economic health, and even more so to that of the global system the US claims to lead, and this criticality grows every quarter. For the US to focus on keeping China down or even out in spite of that fact *will* break the system...
