وال استریت ژورنال: دیپلمات‌های اروپایی می‌گویند بر خلاف تصورات، قدرت‌های اروپایی قرار نیست بایدن را برای بازگشت فوری به برجام تحت فشار بگذارند.اروپا بیش از گذشته نگران تحقیقات هسته‌ای ایران در خصوص سانتریفیوژهای پیشرفته و نصب ماشین‌های پیشرفته در تاسیسات زیرزمینی است
دیپلمات‌های اروپایی معتقدند در بازه زمانی کوتاه بین تحلیف بایدن تا انتخابات ریاست جمهوری ایران، سخت بتوان امریکا را به طور کامل به برجام بازگرداند. ضمن اینکه اروپایی‌ها بدشان نمی‌آید برجام را گسترش دهند.
برخی دیپلمات‌های اروپایی معتقدند امریکا باید از تحریم‌ها به عنوان اهرم فشاری برای دستیابی به توافقی گستره‌تر با ایران استفاده کند و به این راحتی این اهرم را از دست ندهد. اما برخی دیگر می‌ترسند این کار باعث شود دو طرف به هیچ توافقی نرسند.
با این حال، هر دو دسته موافقند که برجام نقطه مرجعی برای دیپلماسی محسوب می‌شود. البته اروپا هنوز گفتگوهای خود با دولت بایدن را بر سر مساله ایران آغاز نکرده است
