... Hadhrat Abu Talib´s family didn´t have great financial backgrounds. So to lighten his paternal uncle´s burden for the time being during the famine, the Holy Prophet Muhammad kind of adopted Hadhrat Ali and took him home with himself. Another brother of Hadhrat Ali was....

... taken in the same manner for the same reasons by another relative of the Holy Prophet.

Once, after the Holy Prophet had been entrusted the divine mission of Prophethood by Allah, Hadhrat Ali saw the Holy Prophet and his noble wife Khadija offering prayer in the Islamic....

... way of offering prayer. At asking the Holy Prophet about what he saw, Hadhrat Ali got told about Allah´s having chosen the former as a Prophet, and was also given the invitation by the Holy Prophet to accept Islam. Hadhrat Ali answered that he´s in no position to make a....

It is speculated that his age was between 11 to 15-16 when he accepted Islam.

... to accept Islam, with some being of the view that it was Hadhrat Abu Bakr, some say that it was Hadhrat Ali, and some say that it was Hadhrat Zaid, the freed slave of the Holy Prophet.

... then enquired from the Holy Prophet. At being told about everything, he answered that he himself cannot accept Islam, as he had to honour the traditions of his ancestors, so he couldn´t abandon his faith, but still he promised to protect the Holy Prophet from others, and...

... at the same time he instructed his son (Hadhrat Ali) to keep himself on the new faith and to fully support the Holy Prophet.

Once the Holy Prophet prepared a banquet and invited all his relatives to his house, with the intention of introducing to them Islam. Around about....

.... 40 people arrived. As it happened, his uncle Abu Lahab said something which caused some issues, so the Holy Prophet didn´t get the chance to talk about Islam.

He got another banquet prepared soon and invited all of them again to his house. When the Holy Prophet announced...

... his claim to them and introduced to them Islam, many of them laughed about it. Having related to them the whole issue, the Holy Prophet asked, "Who will help me in my cause?" No positive response came at this, except a young child, Hadhrat Ali, who answered that he´ll help...

... the Holy Prophet in his cause. At first the Holy Prophet didn´t give it much importance, seeing that a child was saying this after all, but he soon saw that it was perhaps the Will of Allah, and judged that, in terms of wisdom, Hadhrat Ali was the eldest of his relatives,....

When the Meccans plotted to kill the Holy Prophet by attacking him at his house, the Holy Prophet was informed of their plan by Allah, and commanded him to migrate to Medina. It was Hadhrat....

... Ali who showed immense bravery and laid himself in the room of the Holy Prophet at night, to give the impression to the people who were planning to attack him, that the Holy Prophet was still inside the house - whereas he had already left for Medina.

... attackers stormed into the house with the intention to kill the Holy Prophet, but were disappointed and frustrated at seeing Hadhrat Ali lying in the room in his place. They misbehaved with him and even assaulted him.

Such was Allah´s plan that His beloved Prophet walked...

... past the enemy the evening before without them even realising or identifying him!

Such were the sacrifices made by Hadhrat Ali, as a result of which Allah honoured him with the status of being a son-in-law of the Holy Prophet, also with honoured him with him having....

... attained much nearness to the him, and was blessed by Allah with righteous offspring and with righteous generations after him.

Huzoor then related brief details from the lives of four very dedicated servants of Ahmadiyya who passed away recently - one of which was Dr.....

... Tahir Mehmood sahib, who was martyred recently in Punjab, Pakistan....

إِنَّا للِلّٰهِ وَإِنَّـآ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونْ

... 16-year old male, and we can safely assume that a person under the age of 18 was chosen on purpose to have the attacker escape by being given either a less strict punishment according to the law, or no punishment at all! The deceased was 31 in age, having studied in Russia.

Amongst the other three deceased to have been mentioned today were two women.

May Allah grant all of them a high rank in Paradise and may He grant the patience and strength to deal with these losses; Aameen.
