Australian PM Scott Morrison has lashed out at the Chinese govt over a tweet by a Chinese official which shows a fake image of an Australian soldier appearing to kill a child. Zhao Lijian, a spokesperson for China’s foreign ministry had posted a tweet with a caption saying:
...’Shocked by murder of Afghan civilians & prisoners by Australian soldiers. We strongly condemn such acts, & call for holding them accountable.’ The Australian PM called the tweet utterly outrageous & said that it cannot be justified on any basis whatsoever.
..’The Chinese govt should be totally ashamed of this post. It diminishes them in the world's eyes. I want to make a couple of points about this. Australia is seeking an apology from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the Chinese government, for this outrageous post.
There are undoubtedly tensions that exist between China and Australia, but this is not how you deal with them,’ Morrison said during a press conference. ‘It is a false image and a terrible slur on our great defence forces,’ the Australian PM added.

Against the odds, a journalist managed to create not only a new media platform but also make it viable in double-quick time. This goes against conventional wisdom where we presume that owners know more about the media business than journalists.
Arnab broke that mould and shattered the glass ceiling. This has been done earlier by Prannoy Roy (NTDV) & Rajat Sharma (India TV) & also Raghav Bahl (Network 18), but barring Sharma, the rest went into a financial tailspin. Arnab also gets a cult following because he dares to...
..take up causes that the mainstream thinks are beyond the pale or not “secular” enough. The Lutyens consensus is to avoid taking up any issue that may remotely be pro-Hindu, but will tom-tom anything that is remotely favourable to the victimhood narratives of minorities.

A feat which seemed unimaginable in the past, courtesy the humongous share of Chinese goods in the Indian market, 2020, by all means, is set to change the trend as the tide has finally turned for good. For the first time in decades, India is heading towards a China free Diwali.
According to a report in Financial Express, Chinese companies exporting goods to India may suffer Rs 40,000 crore business loss this Diwali season as the Indian traders’ community gears up to boycott the sale of goods from China.
Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), the apex body of the traders’ union which represents 4,000 traders’ bodies and more than 7 crore traders across the country has sounded optimistic that a searing blow will be imparted to the Chinese interests.
