3. In April, when more details of his pandemic-related stock trades became public, a Perdue spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Perdue "is not involved in day-to-day decisions."
5. In September a Perdue spokesperson said that individual trades were made by "independent advisers" and "The Perdues cannot direct or influence these independent fund managers."
7. An FBI investigation found that, in January, Perdue, shortly after receiving an email from the CEO of Cardlytics, personally called his "wealth manager" and directed him to sell more than $1 million in Cardlytics stock.
8. In other words, everything Perdue has said this year about his control over his stock portfolio was a lie. Every statement claims he had no involvement in individual trades but he did.
Now Perdue doesn't want to answer questions about it.
1. Major corporations like to talk about their commitment to combating climate change, immigration reform, and other issues that burnish their public image.
But talk is cheap.
Look at how corporate America spends its money and wields its influence
1. Senator David Perdue (@sendavidperdue) has been caught brazenly lying about how he managed his stock portfolio.
Here are the FACTS.
@sendavidperdue 2. Perdue has said categorically that he had NO INPUT WHATSOEVER on his stock trades as Senator.
This is what his spokesperson said LAST WEEK: "Senator Perdue doesn’t manage his trades, they are handled by outside financial advisors without his prior input or approval"
@sendavidperdue 3. But according to a new report in the NYT, the FBI obtained evidence that in January, Perdue contacted his wealth manager at Goldman Sachs and instructed him to sell $1M worth of stock in Cardlytics.
The communication came after Perdue received an email from the company's CEO.
1. With a handful of exceptions, Republican elected officials are refusing recognize Biden's victory and saying Trump has the right to pursue his legal challenges.
1. Four hours after I tweeted this, the Trump campaign issued a statement saying that Sydney Powell, who made these comments about Loeffler, is "practicing law on her own" and "not a member of Trump's legal team."
Trump's legal team is now asserting that DOUG COLLINS, not KELLY LOEFFLER would be participating in the January 5 runoff if Brian Kemp hadn't rigged the voting machines.
Does LOEFFLER agree? Or will she admit that the Trump campaign's claims of voter fraud are BS.
"We don't know who bought their election.. I'm sure it crosses party lines.. I'm reasonably certain John James was ripped out of his seat, and he was entitled to have won that election by the real vote, and the same thing is true for Doug Collins in Georgia." — @SidneyPowell1
Trump's legal strategy has never made any sense but, over the last few days, it has managed to become even more unhinged.
