Cuomo press conferences now have a...soundtrack?
When you hear Christmas music you should think of the COVID grinch, really.
Cuomo says bar and restaurant transmission way down, gym spread not as dramatically down. "Astonishing" how low infection rates in school. Says now it's spreading through family and social gatherings.
So far no new lockdowns but Cuomo puts in an "emergency stop" in case NY hospitals get overwhelmed.
It's very frustrating to hear Gov. Cuomo talk about importance of keeping school open. He put school openings in Phase 4, he kept day camps closed until most were forced to close, the (no-science-used) disaster our kids are living through is at his feet.
The NY Post site is having issues but I have a piece on that today.
Cuomo talking about how people are hanging out at homes, where he says spread is happening, because restaurants, bars, movie theaters closed. I mean, YAH.
"And by the way, KENTUCKY, is going to a rule of 8 [people in the house]"
Cuomo is exhausting. He uses 5000 words to say something that could be said in 5. Squashes, many different kinds of squashes.
Does Cuomo not remember that he already told us the "don't call an ambulance" story? Because I remember.

How excited is Mayor de Blasio to even be invited.

"The valve no longer controls the spread" Cuomo says in answer to whether the valve will be tightened to stop spread. That's encouraging.
Cuomo says you can tell people the importance of mask-wearing and hope they understand. Cuomo is not wearing a mask right now and neither are the other 5 people at the table with him. Cuomo rarely wears a mask. How is this not a story?
Cuomo repeats the Kentucky story. Repeats the "tough guy should go work at a field hospital" story.
