Today President Trump was talking with Pennsylvania state senator Doug Mastriano who put him on the phone with Eric Metaxas. Yesterday Mastriano tested positive for covid while meeting with Trump.

Doug Mastriano and Eric Metaxas are using extreme, militant, blood-thirsty language. Mastriano wrote an inaccurate book about a war hero. Metaxas wrote an inaccurate book about a martyr. They are who Trump talked to today.

Some like me are afraid of Metaxas's violent mental state.

But others see his commercials for his children's books and the My Pillow placard in the background and think this must be a con, a scam, a grift.

Regardless of whether to Eric Metaxas it is entertainment (a con, scam, grift) or deadly serious as he says and he is duped, his words are indeed dangerous. He is inspiring people to consider violent action.

@phillipmholmes @drantbradley @Fikkert - Kanye West accurately pointed out the three states with the highest proportion of black abortions (MS, GA, AL). Mississippi has the most black people per population so that is not surprising (GA is #3 and AL #6).

When a pastor asked me last night what he should preach this Sunday, I recommended Matthew 5:39 "turn the other cheek."
And Matthew and I are thinking alike I see:
My pastor friend was thinking about teaching his people how to vote in his Sunday sermon without being partisan.

But I have already voted and am thinking about what happens next! I also told him I am praying the Psalms to get through these stressful days (and weeks and months!)

A social conservative thinks that if LGBTQ behavior and abortions are made illegal or expensive, less people will engage in these behaviors and that will be good for those people and society. Image
However, it seems unlikely that popular opinion will not permit LGBTQ rights like same sex marriage to be rolled back.
