NYT has a tool to show where you fall in the COVID vaccine priorities. (My county's population is 269k.) Although I'm 56 years old, I'm behind "2.4M young adults" and "4.0M children." Since my risk is low, I probably won't get the vaccine, anyway, but this tool is garbage. Image

The replies to my tweet about DeSantis' education policy are insane.

Did you know that informing parents that their child is failing and requiring them to explicitly acknowledge that and explicitly select remote learning is the same as <checks notes> eugenics?

1/4
Thousands of children have fallen through the cracks across the country. They have never logged in ONCE for remote learning. We've gone from required schooling to not caring at all whether children are learning.

2/4
This is completely crazy and it's being done in the name of VIRTUE, of all things!

This is all because the CDC, Fauci, and the media refuse to tell you that children have less risk of dying from COVID than from flu. That the risk is massively age-stratified.
