Recognizing the challenges those with disabilities face must take place daily however on this one day of the year #IDPD2020 we take the time to focus on the challenges and consider what we can do to make life easier for those with disabilities. /2 #ableg
2.Small things like shoveling sidewalks for access, obeying the law and not taking up a parking space designated for those with disabilities. More significant things like changing building codes, and providing signing during speeches. /3 #ableg
We must also recognize that not all disabilities are visible and must have patience, understanding and provide support for those who face challenges that are invisible. Our government policies must reflect that understanding and provide assistance. An example would be/4 #ableg
Ensuring we provide educational assistants in our education system. So, today we focus on the struggles and what we can do better as a society but tomorrow and the days until the next ‘official’ day we must remember to work towards an inclusive society. #DisabilityDay2020 #ableg
