There it is! The Corporate Transparency Act is in the final text of the NDAA.

All that’s left is a must-pass vote and the President’s signature.

Then its goodbye to anonymous ownership of US shell companies and a bad day for kleptocrats, terrorists, cartels and rogue regimes.
If you fancy a read, it begins on page 2,950 of this monster 3,652-page bill: docs.house.gov/billsthisweek/…
Remember, this is a fairly major upgrade to the US anti-money laundering system and there are lots more provisions in there relating to upgrading FinCEN, kleptocracy whistleblowers, BSA reporting, you name it...
Huge kudos to Clark, Gary Kalman (now of @transparencyUSA), and other @FACTCoalition leaders for building one of the broadest (and weirdest) political coalitions in US history to get it done

Not often you find Friends of the Earth and Dow Chemical on the same side of the table
Reminder for those wondering if this is NDAA bloat: Shell companies facilitate massive fraud and waste in military spending. This is about protecting YOUR taxpayer dollars.

They are also used by adversaries to infiltrate/undermine US defense procurement. military.com/daily-news/202…
All you investigative reporters about to break out the bubbly... Sorry but this bill makes the data accessible to law enforcement only.

Here’s a summary of all the restrictions on access.

There were compromises on all sides. Proud it remained bipartisan in these troubled times.
