I have a few personal preferences for Attorney General. But off the top of my head I can think of at least a dozen people who would kick ass at the job. So as long as President Biden picks someone honest and fearless, I'm not going to complain.
Couple things to keep in mind:
1) When someone's name is leaked as being "in consideration" it usually means they're not in consideration, and they're leaking their own name to try to get into consideration.
2) When the media is kicking someone's name around without a leak being involved, it doesn't necessarily mean that person even wants the job. These are just guesses on the part of the media – and their guesses usually lean toward big names that people will click on for page views
3) The majority of Biden's top picks thus far have been people whose names were not being leaked or kicked around by the media at all. We just had our "who the hell are Tony Blinken, Jake Sullivan and Avril Haines" moment. Attorney General could easily be another one of those.
4) Biden's Attorney General is unique in that she or he will oversee the prosecution of Trump, his family, and his henchmen. It may be best for Biden to have an AG who's seen as nonpolitical, as opposed to being an established Trump adversary.
5) Of all of Biden's picks, Senate Republicans will probably fight him the hardest on Attorney General, because so many of them are criminally complicit themselves. So Biden may not pick his AG until after he sees whether we win the Georgia runoffs.
I'm less interested in the fate of Rudy Giuliani's coronavirus, and more interested in the fate of everyone that Rudy Giuliani recklessly infected with coronavirus.
Rudy Giuliani (or whoever is tweeting for him) is now claiming that he's "recovering quickly" from coronavirus. No he's not. He's clearly getting worse, or he wouldn't have been admitted to the hospital today. Trump and his people are still lying to us every step of the way.
Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for coronavirus. Considering how many outbreaks he’s been at the center of in recent weeks, it’s a wonder he didn’t catch it sooner. Or maybe he’s had it all along, and he’s been the one causing these outbreaks.
Don’t be Rudy. Wear a mask.
Rudy Giuliani has coronavirus, and it could mark the end of Donald Trump’s election farce
