NEWSFLASH: Craig Blair received GOP caucus votes this afternoon to lead @WVSenate and Roger Hanshaw again received GOP caucus votes to lead @WVHouse
Caucus vote for Senate Dems will be this evening for the leader to replace departing Roman Prezioso. House Dems have a caucus vote for Monday to replace departing Tim Miley.
Official votes for House Speaker and Senate President will be Jan. 13, when the Legislature convenes for a day. GOP supermajorities in both House and Senate for upcoming session.
Senate President Mitch Carmichael was defeated in the primary so he is departing too.
Legislature convenes for one day in January and then, as is tradition, pauses for a few weeks of inaugural buildup. First day of session is Feb. 10, although who knows what this year (early 2021) will be like
