Ah. Philip Pullman has allegedly never heard of Rachel Rooney.

With this, I will now update the Philip Pullman status from "being disingenuous" to "lying through his teeth".
Demonstration to follow.

1) Clara Vulliamy vaguely states she's going to say something personal. No further details.

2) Pullman replies that he supports her "in this matter".
And he refers to "hateful voices". Clearly, he already knows what she's going to be talking about.
3) Let's examine the plot: How does our supporting character (Pullman) know what our main character (Vulliamy) is going to say:

a) he is psychic
b) he has received a prior communication from Vulliamy
c) someone has slipped him a note
d) he has read the thread

I'll go with d)
4) So, two questions:

a) What is "this matter", in which Pullman supports Vulliamy?
b) Whose are the "hateful voices" he refers to?
5) Vulliamy continues the thread, which Pullman has read, and explains in tweets 2 and 3:

"This matter" is the publication of a certain children's book one year ago.

So Pullman now knows she is talking about a book.
Which book? Whose book? She doesn't say.
6) Weirdly, Vulliamy now veers off into defamation of @Transgendertrd as some evil organization infiltrating schools to say mean things to kids.

Presumably, these are some of the "hateful voices" that Pullman refers to.

Vulliamy provides a link to show the evil things they do.
7) This is the link.
These are the evil things @TransgenderTrend say to kids:

"No child is born in the 'wrong body'."
"It's OK for boys to play with dolls and girls to play with trucks."
&c.

These are the statements Pullman presumably finds "hateful"
8) Just for the record, @Transgendertrd was recently vindicated in court in the #KeiraBell case, when the judges recognized that puberty blockers for children are indeed an experimental medical treatment to which they cannot consent.

Their statement:
9) Sorry, forgot to put in the link in tweet 7; here it is.

Stonewall, Schoolsweek, Vulliamy and Pullman presumably agree it is hateful to correctly inform children of our biological condition as mammals on this planet: No, we cannot choose our sex.

schoolsweek.co.uk/schools-warned…
10) Back to Vulliamy's thread.
She's done libeling @Transgendertrd & has come to the matter of the Book That Shall Not Be Named.

It is not a children's book!
It is propaganda!

Remember, Vulliamy has Pullman's "full and unceasing support in this matter, as in everything else."
11) Vulliamy then describes at length how she was made to suffer for "challenging" The Book That Shall Not Be Named.

As an author, was Pullman not a tiny bit curious to find out what terrible book might be the cause of his friend's anguish? WHAT WAS THIS HATEFUL VOICE?
12) So let's see, how exactly did Vulliamy "challenge" The Book That Shall Not Be Named. Let's see her tweets from one year ago:

Ah. The Book That Shall Not Be Named is "My Body is Me", by @RooneyRachel.

Sounds dangerous. It tells kids to love the body they were born with.
13) Then a swipe at @Transgendertrd, with her Qanon-level conspiracy theories already in full view a year ago.

Pro tip: the phrase "seeking to infiltrate" frequently makes you sound a bit crazy. Best avoid.
14) And now a full frontal attack against @RooneyRachel, the author of that sweet book that teaches kids they can love their bodies (instead of hating them, which is admittedly more fashionable these days).
15) What is Clara Vulliamy doing here?

Authors Aloud is a "company that specialises in arranging for authors to visit schools and libraries in the UK and abroad."

So: Vulliamy is just trying to destroy @RooneyRachel's reputation and livelihood, that's all.
16) Some other children's book authors were mildly concerned and politely objected.
17) Vulliamy doubles down and makes it explicitly clear that she is specifically intending that @RooneyRachel should be deprived of a livelihood.
18) This is a good question which received no answer:
19) So yesterday, 6 December 2020, Clara Vulliamy marks the one-year anniversary of her ongoing battle against @Transgendertrd & @RooneyRachel with a thread.

Let's remember she thinks depriving someone you disagree with of their livelihood is what "any normal person" would do.
20) And yet, of course, somehow Vulliamy's the victim here, and felt "out on a limb, and quite exposed". Poor thing. All this just for trying to destroy a fellow author's reputation, livelihood and career.
21) But here is Philip Pullman to the rescue, giving Vulliamy his "full and unceasing support in this matter, as in everything else."

Quite the blank cheque there.
22) Vulliamy may attack, libel, slander, and defame anyone she pleases, she may call for other authors to be boycotted, no matter. Pullman thinks she's wonderful, and so he will support her in everything he does, adding his powerful voice to hers, thereby joining her attack.
23) So is it true that Philip Pullman has never heard of @RooneyRachel, is oblivious to the fact that this is a targeted attack by Vulliamy, just haphazardly referred to some vague "hateful voices", and doesn't really know what he means by "this matter"?

Hm. You judge.
24) What is the case is that Pullman has a pattern of lightning forays against people with gender-critical views and when questioned, of retreating just as fast mumbling, ho hum I don't know anything about that it's all so complicated and they're not being nice to me.
28) Conclusion:
When you're a famous author, what you say has weight.

Pullman has either knowingly joined the attack against @Transgendertrd & @RooneyRachel or has acquiesced without bothering with the details because other people's livelihoods & reputations are beneath him.
29) If it's true he doesn't know any of this, then he has a responsibility to do the research and verify whether:

1) @Transgendertrd are dangerous school infiltrators
2) @RooneyRachel should be deprived of her livelihood.

Because that's what he's lending his voice to.
30) And if he does not agree with the above, then @PhilipPullman owes @Transgendertrd and @RooneyRachel an apology.

Otherwise he'll be just another hateful voice in this debate.

Show us you're not, @PhilipPullman.
31) And lastly, buy @RooneyRachel's books! They're great! She should write more!

33) Pulling a Pullman, exhibit 4:

a) To journalist: Oh no, I'm not entering the transgender debate I'm just sticking up for Clara

b) To transgender activist: Thanks for realising I was trying to stand up for trans women and children

This is unspeakable garbage from @TheAtlantic.

They use trans activist pornographer, bookburning enthusiast and sexism fan G. Lavery as the supreme authority on feminism.

@JeffreyGoldberg

G. Lavery: "I have been dressing like the mignonne bitch of my autogynephilic dreams"

[Autogynephilia: Misogynistic male fetish consisting in a male getting sexually aroused from imagining himself as submissive woman; usually involves the consumption of a lot of porn] Image
G.Lavery, @TheAtlantic expert on feminism:

"I don't look like a woman, whatever that means."

File under Death of Journalism

A newspaper published this sentence:

"The babies were conceived using their mum Adrianne’s sperm to fertilise donor eggs which were carried to full term by their dad, Michael, during a gruelling pregnancy"

@BelfastLive
belfastlive.co.uk/news/belfast-t…
Quote from the woman who gave birth to twins while claiming to be a man. Such a clear illustration of the mind/body fracture engendered by trans ideology:

"I believe all of us are a mix of male and female and I just had to rely on my female physicality to become a dad."
Trans ideology is hatred of the female body:

"Being pregnant was a lot to deal with in my head, but in my heart becoming a parent was my only priority and using my body as a vessel to create these amazing little miracles and bring them into the world was just a means to an end."

Massachussetts law prohibits all women-only spaces, including showers &c.

Any male with a "sincerely held gender identity" has access.

So it's up to businesses to distinguish between real trans & fake trans, based on sincerity of belief.

Fines & prison if they get it wrong. ImageImage

I don't know whether any restaurant or pool manager would risk prison for a year for stopping a man from getting into the women's toilets/showers. How could he possibly prove that the man didn't "sincerely" believe he was a woman, hence fully entitled?

Oxford student Zaman Keinath-Esmail initiates defamatory letter demanding removal of feminist professors Selina Todd & Senia Paseta, signed by 500 students and alumni.

The modern-day witch hunt continues.

Professor Selina Todd is the author of "The Rise and Fall of the Working Class 1910-2010"

Zaman Keinath-Esmail, from a wealthy family, was until last year a high school student at Washington International School with a tuition of $44,460 a year.

This film sounds interesting and I'm going to go see it.

And I'll judge it once I've seen it, not before.

#Cuties

Listen to Maïmouna Doucouré, the director of "#Cuties", explain why she made the film.

And PLEASE stop this vilification campaign against it!!

When's the last time you told someone not to go see a movie because someone gets killed in it and killing is bad so that must mean the director is a murderer?

Fucks sake

2014: 50-year-old father of four proclaims himself a woman, though he's keeping his penis to be on the safe side. He says his anger-management issues are typical for trans women.
(@transwidows can confirm)

Today @guardian does a puff piece on him. WHY?

theguardian.com/education/2020…
He says his school days "felt like facing the Taliban".

Ask @Malala. She did face the Taliban in her school days, and they tried to kill her. Because girls were banned from schools. (As a "woman", he should know that.)

Why does the @guardian indulge this grotesque narcissism?
Here is the very womanly Sophie-Grace Chappell, who knew all her life that she was a woman, just like her wife and her four daughters.

Here he is, 3 years before completing his transition by Putting On A Dress, on "Science, Non-Science, and Nonsense" 🤪
