Dear Arewa,

Another day, another challenge. We didn't just wake up to this sorry-state of affairs we find ourselves. There have always been pointers that we always have ignored. There have been prerequisites to this situation, & until we fix them, we are in for bigger surprises.
When the journey started, there was justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within the society. The Sardaunas didn't select who to send overseas to study. They didn't select who to fund & who to mentor. Many of their protégés were nobodies.
They didn't lead to enrich themselves nor did they do for the luxury (alone). Their hearts were with the people and the Northern project. Until the wicked & develish coupists killed them in cold blood, they are planning for all us to have an easy life, and for everybody.
Today, we do not wish one another well as the commoners. We do not think of how to fix the today for s better tomorrow. We do not give attention to the ordinary people, although they make up our biggest majority. We do not plan for the weak & the vulnerable in the society.
We allow lawlessness to foster & we care less about the future of the unborn generations. This applies to the leaders of the region & we the followers. How do we expect things to turn around in this manner? How do we expect a tomorrow that is better than today?
Fathers have abandoned their responsibilities, neighbors abuse children of their neighbors. We have severed ties of kinship, we build friendship based on material gains. We only respect people that have wealth (or we assume they do), and we only see such as s criteria for love.
We have relegated ourselves to the background in what we do, & we do not practice sincerely what our religion teaches us on how we deal with ourselves especially. We have refused to accept that we are all part of the problem, hence we are not ready to fix ourselves for better.
Enough of the blame games. We all have a stake in this project, and this region must wake up, and now. Let us normalize coming together in groups and designing a way for ourselves. Let us start from our small localities, our communities & we will achieve together.
Let us understand that talking s lot doesn't solve our problem, actions do. Let us equally understand that only WE can fix our own homes, and nobody else. Let us appreciate the people in our lives & support each other. Let us work for a better Nigeria for everyone.

I don't want to put all the blames on President @MBuhari, but I will have to. He is the C-in-C; which means; he makes the call. He decides who is fired & who remains. Not being able to fire people that fail is the peak of incompetence. Not resigning when you fail is the peak of
lack of nobility, respectability, worthiness, honourability, & integrity. The multifaceted nature of the failure of governance we are witnessing affects us all, not only the President, but anyone close to the President, or anyone with access to the President.
If we do our part, Allah is our witness. I am very sure that a lot of information do get to the President, but nothing seems to be changing for better. People are being killed daily, yet nobody is resigning, nobody is being fired nor investigated. We can't keep repeating the

Daily Hadith:13th Rabi' Al-Thani 1442 (28th November 2020)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said:
"The people of Paradise will look at the dwellers of the lofty mansions (i.e. a superior place in Paradise) in the same way as one looks at a brilliant star far away in the East or in the West on the horizon; all that is because of their superiority over one another (in rewards).
" On that the people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Are these lofty mansions for the Prophets which nobody else can reach? The Prophet (SAW) replied, "No! By Allah in whose Hands my life is, these are for the men who believed in Allah and also believed in the Apostles."

FIVE THINGS THE UMMAH WILL BE TESTED WITH

Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him)said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) turned to us and said:
“O Muhaajireen, there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with Allaah lest you live to see them:
1. Immorality never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread among them.

Daily Hadith: 3rd Rabi' Al-Thani 1442 (18th November 2020)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (SAW) said:

"Angels keep on descending
from and ascending to the Heaven
in turn, some at night and some by
daytime, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr and 'Asr prayers. Then those who have stayed with you over-night, ascend unto Allah Who asks them, and He knows the answer better than they,
"How have you left My slaves?" They reply, "We have left them praying as we found them praying." If anyone of you says "Amin" (during the Prayer at the end of the recitation of Surat-al-Faitiha), and the angels in Heaven say the same, and the two sayings coincide, all his

This is a good one to start with this morning. Nigeria is like any other country; we have excellent policies, brilliant people, intelligent than so many around the world, yet that 'anyhowness' is what is pulling us back. Angels won't come down to fix the country. It is me & you!
The country is a country like any country of your dream. The system is there, but what is a system without those that run the system? Who runs the system? Why is it this bad? We run it, & it is this bad because we are bad. Until we begin to fix ourselves & our dark minds,
we will forever remain here. When the system works, I mean, when we make the system work, it works for all of us. When we decide to do anyhow, we all reap the rewards of the anyhowness. As you wake up today, remember that you are a result of your own action. We all are.
