When the racists said Muslim businesses sell clothes stained with "වද බෙහෙත්" to sterilise Sinhala women, I expected the Sri Lanka College of Gynecologists to come forward and say there is no chemical in existence in medical science that can do that. they didn't!!

When they said Muslims put the same sterilisation pills into food sold in Muslim restaurants, I expected the government or any official body to come forward and say such pills don't exists. They never did.

When people like Meththika Withaanage who don't know anything about biology but claim to be "experts" say that Covid Virus can spread breaking the ground beneath us if we bury our dead, I expected Sri Lanka College of Pathologist/ Virologists or anyone who has done basic science

To come forward and call it a lie and to tell the country that Viruses cannot survive without a living cell and especially Covid doesn't spread after a person is dead. But no one did.

I'm even more appalled that none of those who call themselves "neutral" and who are experts in their respective fields spoke against those lies. I'm just appalled that the kind of hypocrisy exists among our midst that when an entire community suffers, you keep mum & enjoy it..

The Qur'an says "let there always be amongst you those who promote (truth and righteousness) and impede evil". I Understand how hard can it be to promote truth and righteousness and not be a hypocrite!
