I am going to try & disspell the lies/misinformation being peddled by those who oppose #S386 / #HR1044 . This will be a series of tweets and hopefully, I can stay civil because good lord we have beem taken advantage of for decades.

Its a GC giveaway bill for Indians- False-
It eliminates country caps from EB GC's so now every skilled immigrant from every nation gets to play by the same rules & on the same grounds.Nowhere does it say that Indians/Chinese will be given preferential treatment. #S386 #HR1044

This bill will make it impossible for ROW applicants to get GC's - False. It will only make everybody wait for the same time before their PD becomes current. Currently, Indians and Chinese bear the weight of the backlog- how is that fair? #S386 #HR1044

Foreign students at US Universities will have to leave the USA as soon as they graduate- False. The grad looks for a job and gets on a work visa until their GC PD is current. Just the same way Indians and Chinese have been doing while rotting in the backlog. #S386 #HR1044

This bill will kill diversity- False. This is an Employment based bill. There are enough Diversity, Family and Humanitarian visas available. Your employment has nothing to do with your race/religion/ethnicity/national origin. #S386 #HR1044

It is a blanket ban on Chinese immigrants- False. It only gives DHS and USCIS more power to stop those who have ties with the CCP and Chinese Military from coming to US for their nefareous purposes. I don't see anything wrong with that one. #S386 #HR1044

This bill will take away jobs from American Citizens- False. The bill has extensive protections for American Citizens. It will actually make it harder for employers to hire H1B's with more burden of proof on them. It is America First. #S386 #HR1044

This bill will increase H1B fraud- False. It will curb H1B fraud extensively by placing more requirements on hiring of H1B professionals. This will hit the small "staffing/consulting" firms' business model pretty hard & pull the plug on abuse. #S386 #HR1044

This bill will cause separation of families for ROW applicants- False. Again, this is not a Family Based bill. It is EB. The EB country caps have caused thousands of family separations but no one squaked about it till now. #S386 #HR1044

Rant time- these lies have been peddled by #AILA , #NIAC & people from Iran. #AILA is against the bill because it pulls the plug on their cashcow H1B renewals. They preach fairness but their practice is contrary. They are truly parasites. #S386 #HR1044

#NIAC & Iranians are opposing it because they don't want to give up the preferential treatment that they are so used to. They whine about the wait time of 2-4y and how it's unfair. Has it been fair for Indians and Chinese to wait decades? Hypocrisy at its best . #S386 #HR1044
