Your thoughts determine your success.

Seven Mental Models That Will Make You Wealthy

=Thread=
Whether you like it or not,

you are the sum of your habits.

Successful people understand this.

They know that your habits define you.

They shape you in ways that you may not realize.

These are the 7 Metal Models I personally use to program my mind for financial success.
1. Expect Success

It all comes down to your expectations.

Wealthy people expect to be wealthy.

Unlucky people expect the opposite.

Do you really believe that one day you will be able to become wealthy? You should.

This is the first step.

Everything Comes Down to Frame
Read “Psycho-Cybernetics”

It explains how success/self-image are linked.

You are defined by your mental portrait.

This portrait is a combination of past experiences/feelings.

This image is the foundation of our personality.

If you believe that wealth will elude you, it will.
2. Develop a Growth Mindset

Growth Mindset is the idea that you can develop your own abilities. It is the belief in change.

And when you believe in change,

You will enter a world of possibilities.
When you believe in growing,

Your confidence will improve.

You will seek out opportunities to gain experience.

Experience = Growth

Life will begin to look like an adventure.

Embrace change.
3 Understand Debt is Slavery

Anyone with debt is a slave to the banking industry.
I know colleagues that paid 200K for a college degree and are paying it off in their 40s.

They live in everyday life in fear, just like prisoners.

This is no way for a man to live.
3b Understand Debt is Slavery

I am not saying to avoid all debt. But be smart about it. Understand you need to pay it off quickly.

Once you pay off all your debts.
Your mind will change for the better.

It will become free.
You will sleep better at night.
4. Embrace the Stoic Mindset

You will never have enough when you look at what you own. Society is built to leave you wanting more.

It's a Trap.

Instead, compare yourself to those who are poorer.

Your lifestyle will seem a lot richer.

Wealth is all about perspective.
I recommend Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

It is a journal of his thoughts.

Think like a Roman Emperor.

Train your mind to focus on what you can control.

5. Think of Making Money as a Game

I think life like it's a video game.

I apply this same concept to wealth.

Try this thought experiment.

What if life were an actual RPG?

Would your stats be when it comes to money?

Knowledge 81
Vision 90
Work Ethic 60
Salesmanship 45
Leveling-up in life is no different than an RPG.

Complete quests (adventures) to gain experience.

Start taking some Real Life Quests. NOW

Start a side hustle.

Start a business.

Learn how to create value.

It's all up to you.
Understand that everything you do in life has meaning.

What you do, becomes who you are.

You can spend $500 on a PS5 or you can purchase the Agency Course (for much less). Build an empire.

Use your time and energy to level up in real life.

Not virtual.

6 Turn off the TV

Distance yourself from advertising.

“Throw your TV out the window.” - @robertgriker

Advertising shifts our perception (without you even knowing). It is designed to do that.

Ad executives are trained psychologists.

They know exactly what buttons to push.
Don't believe me? Look around

Everyone buys more than they need.

Why? Because they have been programmed to do so.

Trillions are spent to make you adopt a lifestyle of consumption. That is why most are broke.

They are programmed to be broke.

There is a reason why TV is free.
7 Mindset Shift from Consumerism

“Keeping up with the Joneses” is a dangerous mentality.

I literally know people who take out loans, to take out more loans. Limit your time spent with the Joneses.

Instead, keep friends that have the same mentality of building toward wealth.

A world in need of idealized beauty

//THREAD - The Story of John William Godward Image
I share paintings from great artists but I would like to highlight the story of a hidden gem:

John William Godward

Few people who follow art know his name.

And his life-arc reminds me of Japanese author Yukio Mishima. ImageImage
Godward is not well known.

Few of his works survive but his technique is stunning.

- The architecture
- The flow of fabric
- The vibrant colors

Note the attention to detail

Creating idealized beauty is his one and only goal. ImageImage

The Secret to Self-Improvement

The ones that succeed, love getting better.

//Thread//
When it comes to self-mastery, I have seen it all.

I've been in the fine arts for +30 years.

Dedicated artists work tirelessly to level-up.

Some make it. Some don't

So, what separates the winners from the losers?

It's simple.

➜ The ones that succeed, love getting better.
This is a universal truth in any subject.

On a personal level, I love getting better and better.

The process of finding out how things work and then powering through is what moves me.

I am always trying to operate at a higher level. It is fun.

In a way, this is my purpose.

Automate Your Life to a Million: The Five-Step Process

The Secret to Becoming Rich is Simple

//THREAD// ImageImageImageImage
The secret to becoming rich is simple.

Everyone wants to overcomplicate the process but overcomplicated processes are purely ego-driven.

Keep the process simple and you will never lose.

“Earn more, spend less, and automate it. “ – @TonyRobbins

It is that easy. Image
The idea of automating is crucial.

When you automate your life toward saving it opens up new opportunities for you. When you have more opportunities, you have more time to create even more opportunities.

Once you get the ball rolling, it is a beautiful cycle. Image

The Seven Biggest Lies About Wealth and Money

Broke is a Mindset

//Thread//
I wrote a famous book
Mental Models of Millionaire.

In MMM, we program the mind toward a life of abundance.

Today I want to do the opposite.
I want to talk to you about what NOT to do.

This is advice that will keep you poor forever.
And you hear it everywhere.
1. Wealth is Fixed

This idea views wealth as a zero-sum game,
often portrayed in the form of a pie.

Proponents believe only certain individuals get slices while others are left with crumbs.

But wealth is not a pie. Wealth is not fixed.
Wealth is something that is created.

Working for money is the first step.

Making money work for you is the ultimate step.

++A Thread about Investing++
One of the best feelings in the world is going to bed at night with cash in money-generating investments.

The world is different when you have no debts.

No debts = no worries.

The feeling compounds when your money is put to work.

Tension melts away.
Cash sitting in checking accounts is just money awaiting orders. Cash turned into depreciating assets (cars) is an army that is experiencing attrition.

Eventually, you will be left with no soldiers (think EU4).

Every dollar must be given an order. Lead.

The Five Ironclad Rules of Negotiation

Use these five rules or they will be used against you.

//Thread//
I LOVE negotiating.

Yes, I am that guy. I will negotiate just for fun.

Often, I just want to see what I can make happen.

Negotiating is like a game to me.

You never know what you can get until you try.

So try.
1. Negotiate from Strength

Begin on solid ground. No debt. Have a pile of cash.

You never want to negotiate when you are desperate.

EVER

When you work from a position of strength you will be able to make offers that are non-negotiable.

This is the most important rule.
