I mean, it's not like @nytimes doesn't play off of Axios stories...
👀
BTW, I am not suggesting this story is an earth-shattering scandal of enormous proportions... but it's probably more significant than "Taylor Swift's song 'Only the Young' is featured in a new ad from California Rep. Eric Swalwell"
Based on this (apparent) screengrab from Fox News (left), the photo below from @ericswalwell's Twitter account in 2013 features Chinese spy Christine Fang from the back (right.) Swalwell's suit/tie is same, dress looks the same, even the curtain in the background matches.
The latest development in Afghanistan, a country that has seen so much pain and violence for so many decades, and seems to be on course to move out of the frying pan and into the fire once again.
If the last 2 decades have shown anything, it's that the US's ability to reform Afghanistan is severely limited, but in the current "peace" talks, I hope we can at least avoid being party to handing the reins of power back to the Taliban and other terrorist elements there.
This is not meant as a slam against @TheAtlantic, but why @TheAtlantic and not the @NYTimes? (Or maybe it's a slam on the Times, instead?) Just curious about the venue. Is there something I am missing?
Krugman now: "And no, Democrats never said Donald Trump was illegitimate"
>@paulkrugman in his own words: "So this was a tainted election. It was not, as far as we can tell, stolen in the sense that votes were counted wrong, and the result won’t be overturned. But the result was nonetheless illegitimate in important ways..." nytimes.com/2016/12/12/opi…
1/ Remember this @realDonaldTrump tweet about a "report" on @OANN that "DOMINION DELETED 2.7 MILLION TRUMP VOTES NATIONWIDE"? The story been deleted from OANN's website.
