The latest development in Afghanistan, a country that has seen so much pain and violence for so many decades, and seems to be on course to move out of the frying pan and into the fire once again.
If the last 2 decades have shown anything, it's that the US's ability to reform Afghanistan is severely limited, but in the current "peace" talks, I hope we can at least avoid being party to handing the reins of power back to the Taliban and other terrorist elements there.
How? Yeah, well, that's the tricky part, isn't it?

Based on this (apparent) screengrab from Fox News (left), the photo below from @ericswalwell's Twitter account in 2013 features Chinese spy Christine Fang from the back (right.) Swalwell's suit/tie is same, dress looks the same, even the curtain in the background matches.
Looks like another here though the resolution isn't that great. Christine Fang and Eric Swalwell?
More photos, these from Facebook. Looks like the same event. It appears Swalwell is sitting next to Christine Fang.

So, have you heard about the @axios scoop on Rep. Eric Swalwell and the spy from China?

Well, if you are relying on @abcnews, @CBSNews, @NBCNews, @NPR, @CNN, @washingtonpost or @nytimes then the answer is no, you probably haven't.

I mean, it's not like @nytimes doesn't play off of Axios stories...

This is not meant as a slam against @TheAtlantic, but why @TheAtlantic and not the @NYTimes? (Or maybe it's a slam on the Times, instead?) Just curious about the venue. Is there something I am missing?
it has been pointed out to me that the Atlantic ran this this morning:

though the Times ran a similar-sounding piece today:

[in case @neontaster misses these]

Here are @paulkrugman and @CharlesMBlow writing in the @nytimes about @repjohnlewis's words: "“I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president,” Lewis said."

Krugman now: "And no, Democrats never said Donald Trump was illegitimate"
>@paulkrugman in his own words: "So this was a tainted election. It was not, as far as we can tell, stolen in the sense that votes were counted wrong, and the result won’t be overturned. But the result was nonetheless illegitimate in important ways..."

1/ Remember this @realDonaldTrump tweet about a "report" on @OANN that "DOMINION DELETED 2.7 MILLION TRUMP VOTES NATIONWIDE"? The story been deleted from OANN's website.
2/ I reported at the time that it was not on the website, but had only run on the air:
3/ As it turns out, it WAS on the website, at least briefly. Here's a cached version:

It is literally the top story on the Twitter News tab, but the tweet is still up and unlabeled.

Good grief, @Twitter. Has @zlj517 got something on you?
Here's the tweet so you can see if it's still up. As of 10:54, it is:
