We celebrate thinfs like this because this sort of solidarity against forces of capitalism that are empowered to brutalize you is like a small glimpse of what an actual bright future looks like. There is so much risk here, and there will be consequences, and still they pushed.
People risking their lives for a family's home. Real beauty. You can talk about the slow politics of compromise but people need their homes now. It's an untenable situation. In the meantime a lot of us do what we can to help out instead of moaning about optics for democrats.
Speaking of which thanks to you all buying the Not Me Us shirts this year we've been able to put thousands of dollars into bail funds and associated orgs. Made another deposit today. Doing this has been a bright spot in this shit year.
