Federal court hearing is off to slow start with @realDonaldTrump and @GovEvers
attorneys arguing over "red-lined" documents they've been exchanging to stipulate to certain facts. Judge Brett Ludwig weighs in:

"Whatever, I don't care. Let's not get hung up bickering on that."

@realDonaldTrump @GovEvers Judge gives attorneys 19 minutes to agree to material facts in the case before evidentiary hearing starts:

"I would very much like the parties to work together to agree on the parameters of those undisputed facts. ... When you come back I expect you to have an agreement."

We're nearly 90 minutes past the original start time, casting doubt on whether it will conclude in time for 1:30 state court hearing today

We're now two hours past the scheduled start time for this hearing and it has yet to begin as attorneys continue haggling privately

@AP The attorneys have now agreed to facts in the case, a move the judge wanted them to reach last night to save time in a hearing that was supposed to begin more than two hours ago

She appealed the case to the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals

But Trump's attorneys are still arguing in federal court and defense attorneys have yet to argue

That means the state hearing will be delayed until later today or perhaps tomorrow

Judge delays start of hearing in state case until 9 a.m. Friday

Judge Simanek:

“9 a.m. tomorrow morning, hell or high water.”

Federal court hearing is back on, with @GovEvers attorney Jeff Mandell arguing for dismissal:

“What President Trump seeks here is profoundly antidemocratic and unconstitutional. This court should reject it.”

@GovEvers Mandell, in his opening, quotes from conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Brian Hagedorn who has voted not to hear three other lawsuits brought by Trump and his allies seeking to overturn the election

Judge Brett Ludwig says he has some questions for both side and will be asking them at 3:45 p.m.

Ludwig has promised to rule quickly, but hasn't said just how quickly

“I don’t think I heard a very good explanation today why the plaintiffs didn’t raise these issues in advance of the election.”

“The response that I heard today was the plaintiffs had too much going on, they couldn’t pay attention to what issues were being raise in the state of Wisconsin. That strikes me as incredible.”
