Since the primary “argument” in this brief is that the election results are invalid because the process was “fraudulent,” I assume that every Republican member of the House on this list also plans on submitting their resignation as they did not legitimately win their seats.
Heres a thread I wrote on potential recourse that these traitors should face. I will also be adding the names of the additional 20 who joined this seditious effort but were not included in the original brief later today. We will remember ALL OF THEM.
Final 20 names of @HouseGOP traitors:
#107.) Kevin McCarthy (CA-23)

I am also adding every GOP Senator who betrayed their oath and acquitted a traitorous criminal ex-President without even holding a trial or hearing from witnesses. They faced almost no consequences for this at the ballot box in 2020. That needs to change.

* = Senator has been replaced (McSally) or is about to be replaced (Loeffler and Perdue)
^ = Didn’t vote to acquit
This list underscores how important it is that we vote out @KLoeffler and @Perduesenate on Jan 5th. This will give us control of the senate (along with the WH and the House of Representatives) and remove McConnell from his position as chief obstructionist.

It is undeniable that the brief filed by these 126 @HouseGOP members meet the criteria for expulsion. While it typically requires the votes of 2/3 of the chamber to expel a member, one could argue that these 126 members are conflicted out of voting on their own expulsion.
In this case, while Democrats only control 233 seats, and the GOP controls 196—the 126 members who signed the brief being excluded from the vote would give Democrats more than a 2/3 majority (233 votes for expulsion vs 70 against would be 76%, which is more than 2/3).
If I were @SpeakerPelosi, I would absolutely use every ounce of power at my disposal to punish the GOP for their traitorous act of sedition, and make this expulsion happen immediately after the 117th Congress is seated. Unfortunatelyc it is unlikely she will do anything like this
Let’s talk about how the 126 @HouseGOP members who signed the treasonous brief to steal the election could actually face consequences in the form of not being seated or otherwise being expelled from Congress (Thread)
Under the U.S. Constitution, Members of Congress may have their services ended prior to the normal expiration of their constitutionally established terms of office by their resignation or death, or by action of the house of Congress in which they belong by way of an “expulsion.”
Article I, Section 5, clause 2, of the Constitution states that a member of Congress may be removed from office before the normal expiration of his or her term by an “expulsion” a formal vote on a resolution agreed to by two-thirds of the members of that body present and voting.
Today a colleague blew up at me because I said that it’s not possible to be a good person and a Trump supporter. She said “maybe you should keep your political opinions to yourself.” I was like “Um no and I stated a fact, not an opinion. And I’ll say what I want, thanks.”
She made a scene in front of customers, which was embarrassing and unprofessional; then tried to claim the lesson from her outburst was that “politics has no place in the workplace.” Except supporting Trump has nothing to do with politics; it just means you’re a terrible person.
So many people try to gloss over their endorsement of a baby caging mass murdering white supremacist traitor with “we just have different political beliefs.” No, we don’t. Trumpism isn’t a political ideology. If you support him; you lack humanity, character, and decency.
I’m going to share a story about a friend of mine who works in the healthcare industry that I believe will shed some light on why things are so terrible right now with the pandemic. He has given me permission to share this as long as no individuals or companies are named.
My friend works as a technician in a hospital pharmacy that serves as a COVID testing site. Recently, a patient came in saying she desperately needed a test because she was traveling to see her relatives for the holidays. His colleague told her tests can only be scheduled online.
She said she would try to schedule a test but was worried she wouldn’t be able to get one in time. After she left, my friend suggested to his colleague that perhaps she could have advised her against traveling as COVID cases are currently spiking in cities across the country.
Twitter often compels us not to post about certain things out of a fear of legitimizing or dignifying them by giving them attention/oxygen. This is why I have largely ignored “Q-Anon.” But this is a terrorist group that threatens our nation and MUST be called out as such (Thread)
Q-Anon is a conspiracy group whose adherents believe Donald Trump is secretly working to rid the world from a cabal of satanic pedophiles. The absurdity and baselessness of this aside, it’s following has grown & been linked to increasing acts of violence & terrorism since 2018.
The following are domestic terrorist incidents that have been directly linked to Q-Anon members since it rose to prominence in 2018.
1.) June 15th, 2018: Matthew Wright blocks a bridge near the Hoover Dam with an armored vehicle. He later pleads guilty to a terrorism charge.
Recorded this on July 31st. I made it to introduce myself to new followers and also give a brief overview of why I joined twitter, what I do for #TheResistance, and to encourage you all to stay hopeful and vote. I don’t know if I ever posted it but since it aged well, ENJOY.
