I came to Yuma, Arizona to provide excellent healthcare and advocate for underserved populations. The love and support I've received from the community reaffirms this is where my family and I need to be. I'll be back with my team in the trenches on Monday!
Thank you EVERYONE for the support. Truly unbelievable!! This would not have been possible without YOU, but it's important to remember this is happening to 100s of doctors, nurses & healthcare workers nationwide, as well as teachers.
In January, we will begin pushing legislation to protect doctors & healthcare workers from retaliation and ensure they have due process, so that hospitals cannot unilaterally say a doctor cannot return back to work.
If you have a similar story and are comfortable sharing then please do on this THREAD. Your voice is important. I've talked to many doctors, who had similar incidents happen to them, which made me realize how widespread this situation is.
