which is a common behavior for human but more acute for Burundian. Every foreigner would ask me :"Since you have been to this country X, have you eaten X?"

Countless burundian that wouldn't dare eat local when in another country. Fact is, foreigners ask me "What's the speciality of a Burundian dish?". I don't know 😂! So I have made a task for tasting other countries dishes, starting with local restaurant in #Burundi

Y'all know that new and trendy Vietnamese restaurant in town impande ya IBB siege ? In the weekend you'll find it fully packed with Burundians... Mostly drinking beer and eating the usual burgers, french fries,... I guess few ever try eating Vietnamese 😂😂

Fact is the waitress there warned me not to ask (as it has been a common request) if Vietnamese pork ribs are "akabenz" because it is not 😂. I was very amused: Kamenge has influenced so many in the capital. Even in Kinindo we now find...😂

So as a foreigner, you need to understand that the primary reason burundian will come to your restaurant is not "to eat foreigner" but ... to eat the usual. We expect to find the usual dish such akabenz. 😂 We are a conservative society

At the en of the day I highly recommend this fried rice with pineapple. This shit tastes natural in #Burundi. I've eaten it in Europe and the pineapple is 🤭 a scam.
