A farmers’revolution: lines in thread
Born few years before start of our Republic,
He went to school with 4 siblings,
in a village some 2 miles from his residence,
Whenever field’s labours could spare him.
When he came to man’s estate at seventeen,
Partition left him with two acres of the Pristine, 👇
He knew he would always be poor,
Unless he took fortune past tradition’s door.
Sold off his prime land in nature’s food
Bowl,
Bought himself a piece of the desert south,
Pulled out old stones , gnarled tree stumps,
Created ten acre farm from next to nothing. 👇
Went back to his village, married his
Sweetheart,
Became role model for enterprising upstarts,
Many a lad followed his footsteps,
They grew paddy and wheat in an arid desert.
2 boys and a girl, he sent to village school,
But now he worried about their future too, 👇
Decided he would sell half his land,
So his kids would not lack for life’s
Maximand.
They lived apart, his wife and he,
The wife put the children through college
Till,
The eldest a software engineer did make,
The second took off in life with MBA. 👇
The girl they wished to protect but she
Wouldn’t comply,
After masters in physics she was off to fly,
Now scientist at a national laboratory,
Her father as proud of the rebel, as she.
I have not embellished any truths here,
You can see how enterprise makes quantum leaps where👇
Fortunes changes when you fortune dare,
Foresight, courage, and hard work to spare.
They are builders of nations, creators of weatlth,
Thus work miracles: not guile or stealth,
Their life’s work isn’t ended though,
They live on their half farm as before.👇
It takes a generation to leapfrog poverty’s Trap,
Education for the kids, only chance you have,
Does that explain why the value learning so,
True entrepreneurs they, lonely furrows they Plough.

How Ambedkar’s legal stance helped unify India:
A retrospective thread . 👇
The British controlled the native states by the doctrine of paramountcy. Ambedkar argued that the Indian government as on June 3, 1947, still had dominion status. 👇
He cited constitutional law that the status of a dominion becomes vested with the right to advise the Crown and the Crown cannot reject the advice. He called out the British parliament for lapsing paramountcy and granting independence to the princely states. 👇

Media Ownership Monitor: Who owns the media in India?

a must read thread 👇 for detailed information.
The production of media content and its distribution are becoming increasingly combined and, again, concentrated in the hands of a few.
Even though India might appear as an ‘overly legislated’ country in many ways, media laws relating to concentration of ownership are fragmented, incoherent and largely ineffective – also because TV ratings remain intransparent and owned by the industry.

What Andhbhakti and Godi Media can do to someone ( in general to everyone)
Politics at it's worst: a thread, read and share.👇
So, a bit of context here. I'm 16, and my parents are regular BJP supporters and regular viewers of Sudhir Chaudrey. I don't mind that. They voted for BJP in 2019 elections. I Don't mind that either. They support CAA and basically everything BJP does.👇
That kinda was a shock for me, so in December I sat down with them and had a casual chat, not trying to appear too political in front of them, as they don't like it.
Both of my parents said "Beta we are not AndhBhakts, but Modiji Jo Kar rahe Hain desh ke liye hi kar rhe hen. 👇
