There are so many others. People in my own life, distant relatives, family friends. Their stories and faces float in and out of my mind all day, fighting not to be a statistic. We owe them so much change.
As some of you have pointed out, I meant people in the US. Wrote this when we passed that threshold with anger/grief and should’ve been more clear. Thank you for sharing the stories of people you’re thinking of and those we’ve lost.
