Seditious insurrections need to be put down. We can speak of turning pages or healing, but there is no healing without action. Action must be taken. Insurrections can not be allowed to fizzle because they never do. Do we need prosecutions? You betcha! 🧵👇🏻

trump has no idea about what is he involved in. Democracy? Justice? These words do not compute in his mind. He is addicted to himself and his own well being. Which is why he is easily being used as much as he is using the true threat. He is a tool of the GOP.

The GOP is a fascist organization. It is now win at all cost. Politics has become a Zero sum game to them. They want to win. Which means there are winners and there has to be losers. If you aren’t one of with them, you are a loser. This is no longer a political organization.

It is a cult. But every cult needs a leader. Every cult leader needs to have certain qualities and traits, above all charisma. Mitch McConnell is long on fascism, but extremely short on charisma. We are in this place now because Mitch McConnell.

When Barack Obama won the presidency, McConnell lost his ability to hold back his racism. He became an obstructionist. He could not bear the thought of a Black man running the US. So McConnell did everything he could do to stop any hope or change promised by Obama.

But McConnell and the whole of the GOP lacked what every cult needs and that’s a charismatic leader. Look at the candidates they ran against Hillary. Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson. These people are as about as charismatic as a wet sloth.

Enter the enemy. Putin (allegedly) knew trump from money laundering, property selling, marketing and all around criminal activities since the 80s. They gave him money, in turn they own him (allegedly). He is the perfect candidate for nefarious actors to insert to destroy us.

IBy destroy us, I mean trump was used by the Russians to destroy our democracy. The irony is he is a tool of Putin whose job is to act as a mirror to the US, when no matter where trump looks, he sees himself.

I say he is a perfect candidate for this because these events are the perfect storm all coming together at the same time for the same purpose but for different reasons.

trump had name recognition, a reality star with charisma. Putin (either directly or indirectly) convinced him he should be president. Not that he ‘could’ be, but that he deserved it. Imagine providing a narcissist with this amount of praise and entitlement.

Putin needed trump. He knows how to manipulate his type. He is pulling trump’s strings. trump has no idea of the inner workings of how our country works. What it stands for, how it should operate in the world. He just knows trump. And, trump loves him some trump.

So Putin is interested in exposing the hypocrisy of US. He wants to show us we are not who we say we are. He wanted to show the world we do things we say only other countries do. That we are not as ‘great’ as we say we are.

Notice ‘great’. Insert charisma. trump is a bombastic blowhard, who doesn’t care about anything else but his message and how he can get your money. He is a conman. A grifter. A racist. And all around piece of shit. A narcissist given legitimacy by an enemy of democracy.

He has access to a vast willing propaganda media machine, he has the ear of those who believe the ‘successful’ imagery of a business man with all the answers, brought into their homes by Mark Burnett. They created the image of a leader and repeated it until the masses bought it.

But the GOP ran the feckless and limp. All of the sudden, trump is a candidate on the debate stage, using his media savvy to further elevate his image. He used his fame to further his cause which was actually Putin’s cause.

Putin wanted to embarrass us, trump wanted to rob us and Mitch wanted to beat us. Mitch may have swallowed hard when trump became the nominee, but he did swallow. He used trump’s pen and narcissism to enrich the top donor class with tax cuts and lifetime appointed judges.

The big pay off to them for favors yet to be asked for. Mitch wanted to ensure republicans won everywhere, every time. Win at all costs. Erase Obama.

Mitch withheld Obama’s judicial appointments so he could ensure he reshaped the judiciary in his image. His ideology will survive for a generation long after he is gone. No matter how many windows we open, his stench will linger.

McConnell is anti-democracy. His treatment of Obama makes him a racist anti-democracy senate leader. He is a republican who is interested in power only (read fascist). His interests aligned with trump’s which aligned with Putin’s. Do you get it now?

The GOP senators who refuse to accept Biden’s victory, the republican House members who signed on to the anti-democracy lawsuit filed by indicted republican Texas AG are all performing fealty bordering on the seditious.

There were 25 members of the House who during the impeachment breached a secure facility. 20 of those signed onto the anti democracy lawsuit. 1 became director of national intelligence; another, White House chief of staff.

They’re not in the business of democracy. They’re now participants in an attempt to overthrow the government of the US. The government, being the type of government we have here. They would rather replace democracy with a dictator so long as that dictator was their dictator.

Given the ideological judicial appointments, the blatant racism, the outright indignation shown toward democrats, trump is both McConnell and Putin’s huckleberry. They are using him. Because trump has what Mitch does not. Charisma.

He has now become a monster of the GOP’s own making. Putin no longer cares. He got what he wanted. We are now an embarrassed divided nation, leery of elections, actively working against science, democracy and any global view that includes equality.

Beyond Putin’s wildest dreams, he has perpetrated the most successful kgb operation in the history of Russia and the US. Soon McConnell will no longer care. The electors will confirm Biden. The problem for Mitch is that the monster isn’t going to go away.

All the gerrymandering, the judges, the vote suppression, the hypocrisy, the racism, the anti-democracy rhetoric, the propaganda networks, the Hannity’s, the Limbaugh’s and the hate which was whispered in small circles now shouted out loud and painted on the asses of idiots.

If we do nothing, they will learn nothing. They will not learn you can not do that here. If we say we don’t stand for this, then we must not stand for this. This cannot be normalized. This cannot be ignored. We cannot heal this nation by letting them off the hook.

They must be investigated, prosecuted, and punished or they will be back. There will be no shortages of those wanting to carry the tiki torch. Matt Gaetz, Stephen Miller. These are not trump associates, they trump enablers. They will be back, unless misdeeds are prosecuted.

They will learn from this, regroup. They will use the judges they put in place. They will do this again because they are fascists and fascists must win at all costs. This isn’t over unless we prosecute. Unless we lay bare all that was done. That is where the healing begins.

Seditious insurrections must be put down. They must be exposed to the sanitizing light of day. Fascist uprisings cannot be allowed to just fizzle out, because they never do.
